Celestine Captures the Essence of Resort! Resort Peachy is Loving the Sunny Scent
It is a cold, rainy, windy, depressing day in Manhattan....thank goodness for Court n Kai! Peachy Deegan is basking in the warm scent of Celestine by Court n Kai. Celestine was conceived while lying on the beach of key “resort” destination, Palm Beach. The citrus notes settle into a deep and warm fragrance that lingers for hours. It has been likened to a steamy south Florida day that simmers into the nighttime. We can only IMAGINE that lovely Florida weather here today and Celestine goes a long way in helping out our gray Manhattan concrete atmosphere!
Founded by Courtney-Celeste Brown and Kai Hsieh, Celestine was developed under their beauty label Court n’ Kai. Inspired by their beach-ready lifestyle, the fragrance combines strawberry, bilberry, black currant, Bulgarian rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, sandalwood, almond and praline with hints of brown sugar and fig.
“It was 20 degrees out and snowing during our trunk show at Henri Bendel last February. The women that sampled and purchased Celestine said it brightened their day and reminded them that spring and summer are around the corner,” said Hsieh.
Celestine is now available at over 30 boutiques in key locations including Laguna Beach, Malibu, East Hampton, Bridge Hampton and Palm Beach.
“Celestine is a quality product rarely found at its price point,” said Brown, referring to the perfume’s oil content. “The vanilla most women notice is actually a mixture of strawberry and almond. This combination opens on a woman’s skin to reflect a fragrance reminiscent of a day at the beach.”
Also in development with Court n’ Kai are scented candles and a second fragrance set to debut in 2010.
Celestine is blended and packaged with care in the U.S.A. The $55.00 perfume is presented in 100ml bottles each with a signature orange bow tied by Hsieh. For each bottle sold, $1.00 goes to the America Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA.) In an intentional effort to reduce paper waste, Celestine is not packed in a box.

One year after their initial sale, Court and Kai donated $500.00 to the ASPCA, holding true to their vow to donate $1.00 from the sale of each individual bottle of Celestine to the cause.
“My animals are the light of my life. I don’t know what I would do without them. When we developed the idea of Celestine, there was never a doubt that we would donate a portion of the sales to the ASPCA,” said Hsieh.
“I literally have to turn the channel or leave the room when their commercial comes on,” Brown said. “I have always held animals in a higher light. They are so precious. I believe it is our duty to watch over them and help them however we can.”
Since they began selling Celestine last October, the fragrance’s popularity has grown. Now found in over 30 boutiques across the country, Celestine can be found in locations from Malibu to New York. In the coming year Court and Kai expect their sales to only continue to grow.
“We have started receiving reorders and stores are stocking up for the holiday season. We could not be more excited about the success of Celestine! We only look forward to even greater things to come,” said Brown.
