The secret of a patented alchemy

In 2007, Thierry Mugler took on an olfactory challenge with “La Part des Anges”, a bold experiment that consisted of letting an extract of Angel perfume “age” in a cherry wood cask to obtain an extremely distilled fragrance. It was a creation that associated the talents of the master perfumer to those of the master wine maker.

The Liqueurs de Parfum utilize this expertise and take the experiment one step further. These distillations arise from an original and innovative maturation process, which is unique to the world of perfumes and protected by an exclusive patent, registered by Thierry Mugler. The result from the prolonged and knowingly orchestrated encounter between the eau de parfum or the eau de toilette and wood is a material as noble as it is precious.

To select the type of wood that would be perfectly adapted to the desired tonality and to the olfactory profile of each fragrance, Thierry Mugler collaborated with Seguin Moreau, the prestigious cooper, an inheritor of two centuries of casking tradition and internationally recognized know-how.

Finally, for each creation, the perfumer’s expertise defined maturation time in the wooden casks to be eight weeks to obtain a properly distilled fragrance.

Angel Liqueur de Parfum: a novel, luscious, distilled "oriental gourmand"

Inspired by the “manufacturing” techniques of prestigious cognacs and based on eight weeks of distillation in a cherry wood cask*, a mysterious alchemy occurs that adds a distinguished and innovative opulence to Angel Eau de Parfum.

In an infusion of lusciousness, Angel takes on the delicious tones of candied fruits with softly-honeyed overtones. Sensual and unexpected amber notes transcend the creation for true, concentrated seduction.

Finally, patchouli, which has also been distilled, develops a refined note and adds new depth to the fragrance…for never-ending intoxication.

The spell of a star

Created using the expertise of master glassmakers, the multi-faceted star bottle is a perfect vessel for Angel Liqueur de Parfum. Highlighted by lacquer in shades of intense blue, which varies as the light catches the facets, the bottle fascinates the eye.

Inspired by the stopper of a cognac decanter, the star at the top of the bottle is perfectly transparent and captures a beautiful play of light.
