BONHAMS APPOINTS NEW CANADIAN ART SPECIALIST AND AUCTIONEER TO TORONTO OFFICE

The Directors of Bonhams are delighted to announce the appointment of Perry Tung as a specialist and auctioneer to Bonhams Canada. Perry joins the company with immediate effect.  Perry will be assisting Jack Kerr-Wilson, the President of Bonhams Canada, in gathering items for the Canadian sales as well as sourcing goods for sales elsewhere in the Bonhams Group.

Perry Tung has worked in the art world since 1998, having completing a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art History and English Literature and post-graduate course in Cultural Management. Over the past nine years, Perry has been at Ritchies Auctioneers and Appraisers. Starting as a porter, within six years he had become Assistant Director and auctioneer in the Canadian Art department later rising to Director of International Art and Auctioneer to Toronto office, managing the bi-annual International Art and select Canadian Art auctions. In addition, Perry has been an enthusiastic volunteer with various charitable organisations, assisting in running charity auctions throughout Toronto.

President of Bonhams Canada, Jack Kerr-Wilson, says: “We are thrilled to welcome Perry Tung to Bonhams Toronto office. He comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience and will significantly strengthen our team.”
