Some Cocktail Ideas from our Mover and Shaker, Jonathan Pogash

We featured Jonathan Pogash as a Mover and Shaker, and he developed some fabulous cocktails we learned of recently!


Spicy Elf
1 oz. Vodka (We like Star Vodka or Double Cross)
1/2 oz. Allspice Liqueur
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
1 tsp. agave nectar
Ginger Beer
Directions: Shake the first four ingredients together in a cocktail
shaker and strain into an ice-filled highball glass.  Top with splash
of ginger beer.
Garnish: peppermint sprig

Festivita #2
1 oz. Coriander-infused Partida Reposado Tequila**
1/2 oz. Grand Marnier
1/2 oz. Cranberry-nutmeg syrup
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
Directions: Shake ingredients very well and strain into a chilled
cocktail glass.
Garnish: floating cranberries and rosemary salt rim**

Coriander-infused Tequila: In an airtight container, add in 3 tbsp.
coriander seeds for every 750 ml bottle of Reposado tequila.  Allow to
infuse at room temperature for up to 1 week.  Strain out seeds and
re-bottle and serve.

Peppermint tea-infused rum: In an airtight container, add 3 peppermint
tea bags and 1 bottle of dark rum.  Allow to infuse for 30 mins.
Remove tea bags and re-bottle and serve.

Cranberry nutmeg syrup: For every 1 cup of cranberries, take 1 tsp.
freshly grated nutmeg, 1 cup water, and 1 cup sugar, and dissolve
sugar over heat.  Then simmer for 10 mins.  Strain out nutmeg and
cranberry pieces, chill, and serve.
