SPRING IS IN THE AIR
AT MACY’S FLOWER SHOW®
SUNDAY, MARCH 28 - SUNDAY, APRIL 11, 2010

Macy’s Downtown Flagships Showcase a Floral Spectacular
In New York and Philadelphia

Spring will be in full bloom at Macy’s as its downtown flagships transform into incredible floral wonderlands filled with brilliant colors, textures and the sweet smell of spring for Macy’s Flower Show 2010. Themed, Spring is in the Air, the Show ushers in the
season of renewal at Macy’s downtown locations at Herald Square in New York
City and Center City in Philadelphia. From Sunday, March 28 through Sunday,
April 11, 2010, these iconic Macy’s stores will be home to exotic floral
displays and remarkable landscaped gardens from all over the world.

For more than 60 years, Macy’s Flower Show has delighted generations of
floral aficionados with spectacular landscaped gardens that showcase
millions of live flowers, plants and trees from around the globe. Blooming
in unison despite the various climates from which they may originate,
Macy’s Flower Show offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to enjoy these blooms
together in an unexpected setting.

The 2010 Macy’s Flower Show – Spring Is In The Air – will reach new
horizons with incredible elements that make the theme soar. From the hot
air balloon centerpieces that will serve as the gateway for each floral
fantasyland to giant bugs, bi-planes and kites that will hover above the
lavish indoor gardens, Macy’s Flower Show will provide a lush escape to
winter-weary spectators.

In addition to serving as the official celebration for the start of the
spring season, Macy’s Flower Show will also be a showcase for the nation’s
most renowned floral and entertaining designers. These décor wizards will
design a rotating Flower Show favorite – the Bouquet of the Day. The
one-of-kind creations are stunning centerpieces that each conveys the
personal style of the designer - whether traditional, contemporary or
abstract. These limited-time floral designs are always a highlight of the
show.

Furthermore, Macy’s Herald Square’s world-famous Broadway windows will be
sure to draw attention from the street as they are transformed into
vibrant, living gardens. Each window will portray a giant hot-air balloon
floating jubilantly over blossoming landscapes.

The Macy’s Flower Show also serves as the backdrop for two weeks of
in-store special events, including fashion shows, cooking demonstrations
and celebrity appearances that will delight floral fanatics while
celebrating the rejuvenating power of the season.

Free to the public, Macy’s Flower Show will be open during regular store
hours*.

Macy’s Flower Show is made possible in part through partnerships with The
Philadelphia Horticultural Society (Center City). For additional
