Aksia Expands Partnership Hedge Fund Research and Advisory Firm Appoints Bruce Ruehl and Jaeson Dubrovay as Partners in the Americas Advisory team

Aksia, one of the leaders in hedge fund research and advisory services, has announced the appointment of two new partners, Bruce Ruehl and Jaeson Dubrovay in the Americas Advisory team.

Bruce Ruehl has joined Aksia as a partner in the Americas Advisory Services team. Bruce is highly regarded in the alternatives industry and has 26 years of financial markets experience. Bruce's last 16 years were focused on hedge fund research, hedge fund portfolios, and the management of institutional client relationships. In 2001, Bruce founded the boutique fund of hedge fund business, Gleacher Fund Advisors, in a joint venture with Gleacher Partners. As Chairman and Chief Investment Officer, he built the business to a peak of $800 million, with a majority of the capital coming from Fortune 100 North American corporate pension funds.

Jaeson Dubrovay is joining Aksia as a Partner in the Americas Advisory Services team. Jaeson has deep experience in the alternatives industry and has over 20 years of investment experience. He comes from NEPC where he served as Senior Hedge Fund Strategist since 2006, working with institutional clients advising on hedge fund portfolios. Jaeson, who began his career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co., has had direct hedge fund investment experience since 1990. Alternative Investment News, a publication of Institutional Investor, named Jaeson Hedge Fund Consultant of the Year in 2008. In 2009, he was named Consultant of the Year by Foundations and Endowments Money Management's Nonprofit Awards for Excellence.
