Allison Parris Presents 2010 Fall/Winter Collection at New York Fashion Week
Allison Parris returned to New York Fashion Week this season with a dynamic runway show previewing the Fall / Winter 2010 ready-to-wear collection at Skylight West.
Opening to a packed house of celebrities, buyers and press, the models strutted down the runway to a hip hop re-mix of string quartet music by DJ Inbetween. The collection showed an edgier look than previous seasons, while keeping the overall feel light and happy. Shown on its own without the use of accessories, the extensive use of hand-embroidery and chain appliqué became the collection’s focus.
Mario Diab Salon added to the romantic feel of the collection with their voluminous, curled hairstyles, and beauty direction was handled by Gregg Hubbard, who finished out the fresh look placing most of the emphasis on dramatic eyelashes.
In keeping with Allison Parris’ commitment to eco-responsibility, the line uses sustainable, organic and/or repurposed fabrics without sacrificing style. The line also uses recycled PET satin, made from recycled soda bottles, to line many of its pieces.
