The Silver Lining Society, holding its Fourth Annual Winter Gala, will continue its mission of raising awareness and funds for pediatric oncology at
Columbia University Medical Center.

The New York based Silver Lining Society (SLS), a charitable group of young professionals dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children battling cancer, will hold its Fourth Annual Winter Gala on Saturday February 20th, 7 PM, at LQ nightclub in Manhattan. Through awareness and fundraising, SLS acts as ambassadors and supporters of Hope & Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund at Columbia University Medical Center to help provide children battling cancer and their families with alternative medicine, psychological counseling, wellness initiatives, and access to the only phase 1 pediatric clinical trials in the Tri-State Area.

“For the past four years, Silver Lining Society has become a recognizable brand and a strong force in the fundraising world,” explains cofounder Ryan Alovis. “Our upcoming Winter Gala will surpass expectations, as all our events have, year after year. SLS is dedicated to changing the world, and we’re doing just that.”

Through fun and meaningful social events, the Silver Lining Society has spread the importance of charitable involvement across the youth community of New York City, and February 20th will be a night to remember. The Fourth Annual Winter Gala will have a premium top shelf open bar, incredible Hors d’oeuvres, celebrity guest DJ Niko of Z100, special musical performances and a silent auction with items ranging from private suites at Ranger games to a haircut from celebrity stylist Ted Gibson, which includes a color from his lead colorist and a gift basket of amazing products. Previous events (Winter Gala, Fashion Show, Spring du Soleil) have raised in excess of $250,000 in support of eradicating pediatric cancer.
