Zippo Heats Up Selling System with New, Multi-Item Outdoor Line Three new products join proven sellers to offer complete range of fire and heat solutions

Peachy Deegan is not rugged.  Peachy Deegan does not sleep in a tent.  Peachy Deegan thinks hiking is going through Central Park from the east side to the west side, and back.   She is in no way the child from her family that made Eagle Scout (well, she is not even a boy.)  But we are in Manhattan, not Manhattan Beach, and it is FEBRUARY, so we wanted to show you an innovative way to keep warm with Zippo this winter!  In particular we like the handwarmer.  It's sleek, thin design is perfect for your pocket and it is easy to use and lasts for hours on end.  You can use it for an entire day, quite literally to keep your hands warm when the weather isn't.  We have tried and tested this and it is just one item in a lineup of many that make you able to Brave the Cold!
Of course, you might want to use this especially for your winter getaways outside of Manhattan to your country house (which is hopefully in Connecticut?).  Retailers hunting for merchandise to fire up the spring selling season have a new outdoor line from Zippo to lure their customers to the checkout. The new Zippo Outdoor Line includes three new products – Campfire Starter, Emergency Fire Starter Kit and the Flexible Neck Utility Lighter – along with proven performers such as the Windproof pocket lighter, Outdoor Utility Lighter and Hand Warmer.  Accessories, such as fuel, flints, replacement burners, wicks and sticks are also part of the new collection.

“Our new Outdoor Line offers retailers a complete range of flame and heat products in a variety of merchandising options to fit retailers’ needs,” said Greg Booth, the company’s president and CEO.  “The three new products are a direct response to the increasing popularity of rugged outdoor activities.”

New Products Meet Critical Needs of Today’s Outdoorsman
Featuring a western red cedar aroma, the new Campfire Starter is a unique blend of compressed cedar saw dust and wax for quick lighting even in the wettest conditions.   Made of 100% all natural recycled materials, the back is scored for easy separation to start up to four fires.  Lightweight and easy to pack, Campfire Starter has a suggested retail price of $1.49, making it ideal for camping, hiking, campfires as well as barbecues and fireplaces at home.

The new Emergency Fire Starter is designed to do exactly what its name implies – start fires in emergency situations.  It’s rugged metal construction and reliable flint-wheel ignition features rayon-made waxed, water-resistant tinder sticks for quick and easy fire starting even in the most rugged conditions.  The lid has a water-resistant o-ring seal to protect the tinder sticks.  The Emergency Fire Starter is a necessity in extreme altitudes as well as wilderness camping, hiking and hunting.  It has a targeted retail price of $14.95 with replacement waxed tinder sticks in eight unit packets suggested at $4.95.

The new Flexible Neck Utility Lighter is ideal for getting flame to any hard-to-reach place in the great outdoors or around the house.  This rugged, ergonomically-designed new tool comes equipped with an advanced ignition system, wind-resistant dual flame technology, adjustable flame, fuel level-indicator and a patented child-resistant safety button.   The flexible extended neck is topped by a slim, powerful nozzle that easily fits all lighting openings such as lanterns, grills and campfires.  Available in Satin Silver or a rubberized flat black finish, the Flexible Neck Utility Lighter’s suggested retail price is $19.95.
“The addition of these three new products really offers a complete range of flame tools to meet every activity, from the great outdoors to the back yard barbecue,”   Booth said.
