BID NOW IN THE GUGGENHEIM'S ONLINE BENEFIT AUCTION
Live on charitybuzz.com/guggenheim through March 18, 2010
For the building's 50th Anniversary, the Guggenheim Museum invited nearly two hundred artists, architects, and designers to imagine their dream interventions in Frank Lloyd Wright's spiraling rotunda. The exhibition Contemplating the Void: Interventions in the Guggenheim Museum features the visionary projects from a wide range of international practitioners both emerging and established, with mediums varying from pencil sketches to digital video.
Contemplating the Void also functions as an anniversary fundraiser for the museum—over 90% of the artists have donated their works to this cause. Proceeds from the sale will support the museum's exhibition programming.
