It's Monday night in Manhattan and we are celebrating March with the Ehlers Estate 2007 Merlot! We absolutely love Ehlers Estate and not only do they have a strong commitment to producing excellence in wine, but also they are dedicated to charity. Ehlers Estate is held in trust by the non-profit Leducq Foundation. 100% of their proceeds fund research for cardiovascular diseases.

The Ehlers Estate Merlot leads with enticing aromas of black cherry, spice, brown sugar, mint, and vanilla. From the minute the merlot leaves the glass and enters your palate you can immediately sense the high quality. On the palate, the wine’s plush, silky texture and fine tannins carry flavors of caramel, cola, pepper, and red apple skin. The overall impression is one of richness and balance. It is among the very best Merlots we have experienced and we are sold on Ehlers Estate. Additionally, we love that they are American! (although with French ancestry!)
