Kendell Cronstrom named Editor in Chief of Hamptons Cottages & Gardens Magazine
Marianne Howatson, CEO and Publication Director of Cottages & Gardens Publications, announced today that Kendell Cronstrom has been named Editor in Chief of Hamptons Cottages & Gardens. A veteran editor of shelter publications, Cronstrom has previously held key editorial posts at Elle Decor, House Beautiful, In Style and Real Simple.
"Kendell's roots in the design community and his extensive experience in other lifestyle categories such as food, entertaining, gardening and travel create a formidable combination that will delight the fans of HC&G," said Howatson. "A creative thinker, he has expanded on the traditional approach to shelter publishing by conceiving of and launching such innovative brand extensions as design-inspired travel series and columns written by noted leaders in their field, including celebrity chef Daniel Boulud and antiques experts Leslie and Leigh Keno." Additionally, Cronstrom is the author of the book Real Simple: The Organized Home (Melcher, 2004) and for several years has been actively involved in Design on a Dime, a charity event that benefits Housing Works.
"As a resident of Bridgehampton, I have greatly admired HC&G and recognize its huge potential as a brand," said Cronstrom. "It speaks to a very special, stylish community of homeowners as well as designers, architects, gardeners and artists, and I'm thrilled to be a part of this exciting new chapter inHC&G's development."
