NIGHTLIGHT: Second Annual Big Apple Feis Highlighted Dancing from Kelly Dalton and Daniel Fehrenbach, Honored George C. Heslin and Mark Howard, and Featured Entertainment by Fiona Walsh and Ann Design
Two weekends ago the second Annual Big Apple Feis was held! You know we love being Irish and we thought this was a lovely event. We understand around 1,100 dance students competed, and the weekend featured a Big Apple Idol contest and a Gala Dinner on Saturday night at the Hilton.
Highlights of the Gala included a pre-dinner performance by Fiona Walsh, who was so fabulous she became one of our Movers and Shakers on St. Patrick's Day:

Her commentary on Warren Beatty was priceless and if you go see her and don't laugh until you cry you must not have a pulse. She will perform at the Irish Arts Center on April 11 at 553 West 51st Street and keep reading Whom You Know for complete details on this. We can't wait.
Ann Design did a great job as announcer; although not dancing, she was completely on her toes, and stars of the Gala were Kelly Dalton and Daniel Fehrenbach who are absolutely amazing Irish Dancers! Dalton and Fehrenback, ages 16 and 17 respectively, traveled from Milwaukee to Manhattan to celebrate Irish dancing. They are part of the Trinity Academy of Irish Dance and they were a pleasure to meet, as well as honorees Mark Howard and George C. Heslin; check out origintheatre.org! Whom You Know also enjoyed meeting Antonia Reilly, Ann Design and Fiona Walsh.
We look forward to next year!
