Social Venture Capital/Social Enterprise Conference Miami and Sustainable Haiti Conference Brings Together Visionaries from the World of Finance and Philanthropy March 17-19, 2010 At The Miami Beach Convention Center, Miami Beach, FL


Over 700 leaders from 30+ countries, 240+ speakers, and 110+ panels and workshops will be presented during the 3 days of SVC/SE, Miami-2010 and Sustainable Haiti beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, March 17th and continuing through Friday, March 19th, 2010 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The SVC/SE Conference will focus on promoting economic development within Latin America and the Caribbean by utilizing Social Venture Capital and Social Enterprise.  These unique investment vehicles reap returns for investors while creating market-driven solutions to social and environmental issues.  Speakers will include actress-turned-filmmaker Somy Ali, Global Director of Citi Microfinance Robert Annibale, U.S. Business Editor and New York Bureau Chief for The Economist Matthew Bishop.

Running concurrently with the SVC/SE conference will be the Sustainable Haiti "conference within a conference" that will bring together social entrepreneurs and social investors from around the world, US government officials, NGOs, leaders of the Haitian Diaspora, Haitian government officials, faith-based groups, and corporations with a presence in Haiti.  Featured among Sustainable Haiti's long roster of distinguished speakers is Michele Duvivier Pierre-Louis, the former Prime Minister of Haiti.  Sustainable Haiti is the largest conference of its kind.
