We have all been listening to Peachy Deegan look forward to spring and fun times outside without a million layers on. We are getting closer, Happy March! Well, we have one more good idea for you for when it becomes nicer out! We bet you cannot wait for backyard or beach barbecques, and we have the perfect solution to what you can use for serving:
Do you know what that is? It is a PALM LEAF! Peachy Deegan has been eating off of these fabulous palm leaves to try them out to tell you how fabulous they are (and if they weren't, we just wouldn't say a thing.) These are so durable you will not believe it. You can use a steak knife on them. You can put them in the microwave. And if you have a silly pet that likes to chew on everything in the backyard we would think chewing on a palm leaf is far better than some of the nasty material that paper plates are typically made of. Not only are these great for the earth, they are also stylish. Don't you want to be the first in your social circle to be eating off them?

Going "Green" has never been easier! VerTerra disposable dinnerware is easy to spot in the attractive green packages. The unique high design dinnerware comes in many handy sizes and quantity choices for countless occasions. Choose from bowls, plates and trays, all made from "fallen" palm leaves, normally "waste products". I love that the VerTerra dinnerware is non-toxic, all natural, 100% bio-degradable and 100% compostable. No chemicals, glues or waxes to leach into the foods and its totally incredible that the dinnerware is safe for short bakes in the oven, unheard of with any other disposable product. I am definitely impressed with this dinnerware and my guests will surely see my commitment in helping the environmentment by using the VerTerra dinnerware. Thank you VerTerra....
When I first received the packages of the Verterra disposable dinnerware, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and durability of them. It is hard to believe that these "disposable dinnerware" plates and bowls are made from fallen palm leaves as they are very sturdy. And not only are they ecofriendly, 100% natural and non-toxic, but they also bring a fresh, modern look to your table. As an environmentally conscious individual, I just love the idea of them being 100% biodegradable and compostable. Instead of discarding them in the trash, I can dispose of them in my compost bin and know that I am helping the environment. Disposable dinnerware is very convenient for me, especially when I am camping in the summer. However, I always felt there could be a better solution to the "disposable" dinnerware and it's impact on the environment. The Verterra Dinnerware collection is that solution I've been looking for. Go Green!
The Vertera dinnerware is unlike what I’ve seen before. From first looks, it looks like a very appealing and expensive version of a natural looking bamboo dish set. I was surprised to learn that it IS all natural! The Verterra dinnerware is literally made out of fallen palm leaves and you will not find any traces of chemicals. I love that the line is eco friendly being 100% biodegradable and compostable. It’s also microwavable, which was hard to believe because it’s made out of leaves. I’m totally in love with the concept of the Verterra dinnerware. I love that it is eco friendly and that it looks sleek, chic, and elegant. I can’t wait to show it off at my next get together!
Using VerTerra Dinnerware is the coolest, easiest way for the average person to go green. The whole line is made from the fallen palm tree leaves and the bowls and plates are more versatile than any other disposable plates on the market. What other disposable dinnerware can be used to heat, serve, and refrigerate food? These plates are biodegradable, compostable, and have only two ingredients – palm leaves and water! And they’re manufactured in an eco-friendly plant that uses just 10% of the energy required by recycling. When I first saw them, I didn’t realize they were disposable. They’re so durable and just look so much hipper than any other paper or plastic products out there. It wasn’t until my guests started asking whether they were dishwasher safe that I realized just how awesome these plates are. I’m completely sold on VerTerra Dinnerware.

What began as a summer internship in India for VerTerra founder and committed environmentalist Michael Dwork ended as an impassioned mission to save our Earth from the trillions of disposable plates congesting our landfills. The inspiration: a simple encounter with a woman along a rural dirt road, pressing leaves soaked in water into a crude waffle iron.
The VerTerra Dinnerware collection, an innovative twist on centuries old traditional plates from India, debuted in 2007. Using only fallen leaves and water and a proprietary steam, heat and pressure process, VerTerra is the all-natural choice for chic party-ready single-use dinnerware.
It all starts on farms of palm trees grown for food and medicinal purposes. The leaves shed year-round and are one of the Earth's largest natural waste products. Seen as a hindrance to the nourishment of their trees, the farmers remove the leaves, pour gasoline on them and burn them. That's where VerTerra comes in. The fallen leaves are collected, cleaned and pressed into a beautiful renewable plate, bowl or tray.
This authentic eco-friendly line is BPI-certified compostable, naturally biodegrades in two months after use and boasts unmatched versatility and durability—VerTerra is safe for reheating food in the microwave, baking in the oven, or cooling in the fridge.
The company has grown to supply over 500 stores nationwide and works closely with some of the country’s top caterers. At roughly 15 tons of leaves per month to meet these hot demands, VerTerra impressively maintains a near zero-waste facility. All scraps are powdered for use as fertilizer and returned to the farmers from whom they get the leaves. Over 80% of the factory water is recaptured and reused, and the entire production process uses just 10% of the energy recycling requires.
VerTerra brings more to the table than cool place settings; it represents hope for a healthier Earth, without having to sacrifice our convenience crown.
