Men's Fall/Winter 2010 Hair Trends from Milan Fashion Week!
A Fresh Take on the ‘Mad Men’ Classics
The throwback style of the fifties with a nod to the future dominated the Fall/Winter 2010 runways at Men’s Fashion Week in Milan. The inventive looks were brought to life by Redken Creative Consultant, Guido, and the styles he created for the runways of Versace, Bottega Veneta, Prada and Alexander McQueen ranged from sleek and polished to stylishly ruffled, all wearable and easy to recreate for every man.
At Versace, Guido enhanced the classic “Mad Men” hair style and brought it to a futuristic level. The look was sharp and polished with a prominent side part. To create the look, make a low, clean side part with a comb. From the bottom of the head, work the hair upwards into sections while applying Redken For Men stand tough extreme gel all over to provide maximum control. For a sleek finish, complete the Versace look with Redken For Men polish up pomade.
At Bottega Veneta, Guido was inspired by the 1950’s style of clothing and completed the popular slicked-back style by adding a more disheveled and raw edge to the look. The style is an undone classic and easy to bring from the runway to the workplace. To create this look, apply Redken For Men mint fix sweat resist gel to the hair, working from the base of the head upwards. Section the top from the crown into a horseshoe shape and brush back the sides and fold into the middle at the back of the head. Part the top section down the middle and use a rounded brush to create a folded look. For a slick finish on the sides, apply Redken For Men high rise hard wax and secure it with Redken For Men hold still firm spray in generous amounts.
Guido brought a natural retro look to Prada, simple to achieve with a strong focus on the tousled bangs. The effortlessly sexy style can be achieved by emulsifying a small amount of Redken For Men maneuver working wax into hands and working through dry hair for a flexible, ruffled style.
At the much-anticipated Alexander McQueen show, Guido highlighted the clean-cut fifties trend once more, keeping the style trim and smooth. The look was kept tidy at the sides and back with a sleek finish and center part. The lustrous and fresh style is easy to achieve by combing the hair into a clean center part and applying Redken For Men mint shape forming paste to create texture.
Fall/Winter 2010 is recapturing the classic styles and adding a modern spin. These runway looks are accessible and adaptable for all men from the workplace to a night on the town!
