Chevy Drives Fútbol Fans to “Get Into the Action” this Summer Chevy partners with Univision’s Republica Deportiva to launch first-ever mobile tour across the US and unveils www.GranJugadaChevy.com

Today Chevrolet kicks off La Embajada de la Republica Deportiva Chevy (The Chevy Embassy of the Sports Republic) mobile tour and its new portal www.GranJugadaChevy.com (The Great Chevy Play), two new sports-themed properties that offer soccer fans exciting ways to enjoy the biggest soccer matches of the summer.
La Embajada de la Republica Deportiva Chevy will bring sports fans together to experience their favorite sports show alongside the safest, most dependable vehicles on the road today – Chevy. Chevy’s La Embajada will make multiple stops in top Hispanic markets starting in Los Angeles on May 29 and then onto San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Miami, Orlando and San Francisco.
“We are very proud to bring Hispanic sports fans new and exciting ways to enjoy their favorite sports as a family this summer,” said Jim Campbell, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing. “We welcome families to experience our dependable family of cars, crossovers and trucks and learn about OnStar, our safety ratings, fuel efficiency, performance and affordability.”
La Embajada Chevy will feature the following elements:
-       A replica of the Republica Deportiva set where the show will be taped live in some cities and fans will have a chance to create their own video as a “Republica Deportiva Correspondent” that can be shared with friends online. (TBD)
-       Opportunities to meet national and local Univision and sports celebrities
-       “Multi-Sports Village” featuring Chevy’s 3-on-3 soccer game and exciting prizes
-       The opportunity to experience Chevy’s first-in-class vehicles with OnStar:

  • Chevy Equinox: Named 2010 Urban Truck of the Year by On Wheels Media
  • Chevy Traverse: Family SUV top pick by Consumer Reports 2010
