INTERNATIONALLY RENOWN “DAYS AND CLOUDS,” Film Movement Makes Italian Drama About Economic Ruin And the Fragility of Love Available on DVD

The art of reacting to adversity well is a lesson addressed in the Italian movie: Days and Clouds by Film Movement, and in today's economic climate in Manhattan, it very well is something many people here can relate to.  Set in picturesque Italy with beautiful rolling hills, it is a story about perspective and what is important in life.  Through watching this film, you will learn how to react positively, negatively, and in some cases not at all which can be either positive or negative, depending on the circumstance.

Parent/child and spousal relationships are gripping and sincere, and the characters have real depth.  As the turning points progress, you will be enraptured with the storyline.  Well-to-do and sophisticated couple Elsa and Michele have a 20 year-old daughter, Alice, and enough money for Elsa to leave her job and fulfill an old dream of studying art history. After she graduates, however, their lives change. Michele confesses he hasn't worked in two months and was fired by the company he founded years ago. Elsa overcomes her initial shock by pouring extra energy into facing the crisis and trying to adjust to their new lifestyle, while Michele, exhausted by an unsuccessful job hunt and gradually losing his self-esteem, lets himself go, alternating between violent anger and apathy. The growing distance between them eventually leads to a break-up. Only when they are apart will they realize that they risk losing their most precious possession: the love that binds them.  Whom You Know recommends Days and Clouds.
