Statistics show that men are now spending more than $4 billion each year on grooming products.1  In fact, according to AC Nielson, sales from men’s grooming products grew almost 70% between 2002 and 2005, compared with only a 6% increase in the women’s market.2  Additionally, 64% of men view hair as their most important attribute even over the way that they are dressed.3

As men become increasingly concerned about their appearance and want products clearly designed for them, it has created an opportunity for L’Oréal Professionnel to provide hair salons with a premium professional product offering for men, complete with haircolor, haircare and styling products.

The Homme Centers
The concept of the Homme Centers was developed through L’Oréal Professionnel’s research into the men’s grooming market, in which the key finding was the need to consider the salon’s environment.  It is important to show that a salon’s business caters to men from the moment a client looks at a salon.  By creating a masculine space, men can immediately feel at ease.
Through a partnership with a select group of salons, L’Oréal Professionnel Homme has created the Homme environment that showcases different interpretations of a unique Homme business model.  Featuring different salon personalities such as the exclusive men’s salon and the celebrity-stylist salon, these select salons offer different insights and learnings on how Homme has helped develop their men’s business.  The salons launched in late March.

I like gel but I hate that it flakes and gets dull over time and by the end of the day my hair looks crazy.  What I need is gel that will give my hair a healthy look, hold it in place, and keep the shine/wet look through the whole day.  L’Oreal HOMME WET is the gel that will do all the above. After I shower, get dressed and eat breakfast, and I use WET from L’Oreal.  I apply the gel to my “just damp” hair and I style it to my liking.  WET holds my hair, never flakes, and gives me the just out of the shower wet look – not the plaster/ flaky look.  I apply it in the morning and my hair still looks great at 5 pm. I can go out right after work and not worry about not looking my best.

The first thing I noticed about the gel was it’s smell.  It’s one of those hair products you throw on and notice the scent throughout the day, which is great, because it’s a pleasant fragrance.  The gel holds reasonably well with short hair for an extended period of time, it’s not a super hold which you don't want since you don't want to look overdone, but works well and isn’t flaky.  It definitely gives you the wet look it advertises and I love the way it doesn’t stick on your hands after application.  I give it two thumbs up overall.

Wet and Wild! I know there are some of you out there who are still doing the wet slicked back or standing straight up look. So here is the perfect product for you.  L’oreal Homme’s Wet Wet Gel Look product is a great way to get that wet, silky extreme look. Work through your wet hair and then follow by working wet hands through the hair. This gel will hold your hair in exactly the position you put it in. Even better is the hair is left soft not crispy and hard. If that is your look then this is your product.

L'Oreal 3 Wet Look Gel is great for that person who seeks out the "wet look". Well I LOVE the wet look on my hair. It has taken me a long time to find a gel that can successfully achieve that look. One of the best parts other than the product actually working is that it doesn't have that perfume smell. I love that it leaves my hair looking amazing the way I want it to look. It actually holds!
