Stand Up 2 Cancer News Update

"We want people of all ages to be involved in this effort. Not only people who have cancer or who are dealing with it, but young people who want a cancer-free world in their future, because we really do think it's finally attainable. With all of us working together, not only as citizens of the world but all these brilliant scientists collaborating and sharing all that they're doing, I think we're really, really close to finding much better, less toxic treatments and, one day, a cure."

- Katie Couric, Stand Up To Cancer Co-Founder

Two years after the historic fundraising telecast that started a groundbreaking movement, Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) returns to primetime television on September 10, 2010, with a star-studded appeal to continue building public support and donations for cutting-edge cancer research that translates at a rapid pace from the laboratory to treatments and technologies that benefit patients. Network evening news anchors Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer and Brian Williams are slated to make live appearances today on CBS's "The Early Show," ABC's "Good Morning America," and NBC's "TODAY show," respectively, to discuss the September 10th telecast and the encouraging progress being made by SU2C's Dream Teams of cancer researchers.
