Adidas Golden Glove

England's Gordon Banks and Dino Zoff of Italy have both won it and in more recent times Sergio Goycochea of Argentina, Frenchman Fabian Barthez, Oliver Khan and Gianluigi Buffon. The adidas Golden glove award goes to the best goalkeeper of the FIFA World Cup every four years. Sergio Goycochea won it at Italia 90, the Argentinean best known for his string of penalties saves during shoot-outs with Yugoslavia at the quarter final stage and one with Italy at the FIFA 1990 tournament semi-finals. Argentina however lost in the final of that event to Germany. It was Andreas Brehme's penalty that settled the Cup. "The memories of the penalty saves with fantastic, the joy and especially coming back to Argentina and being received and welcomed as if we had won the World Cup it was a great moment for me." Germany's Oliver Khan won the award in 2002 along with the adidas Golden Ball for the best player of the tournament. Forty-one year old Khan remembers being at his very best in Korea and Japan. "In 2002 I was at the zenith of my abilities Bayern Munich won the Champions league so I moved on into the world Cup with absolute confidence."Who will have their name added to the hall of fame...
