Advantageous Auctions: TUTU MARVELLOUS!

The historic gown worn by Margo Fonteyn for Swan Lake in the role of Odile will be auctioned on June 8^th, with an estimate of £40,000-60,000. The role of Odile was one of Fonteyn’s most memorable and celebrated roles. The dress of black velvet and tulle adorned with elaborate gold strapwork and sequins, also bears the Royal Opera house printed label bearing her name. She danced this role with Nureyev between 1966-68 and 1971-73.
