We love new products, and in this weather of sun and fun we want you to remember to protect your lips! To that end we tried the Sally Hansen Ultra Soothing Lip Tint and our panel said:

Growing up in the ‘80’s, my first cosmetics purchase, which I obsessed over for a while before making that purchase, was lipgloss. Impossibly shiny, gloppy almost, sweet-tasting, fruity-scented and sticky, it’s an obsession that’s stayed with me to this day. I’m never without it. Sally Hansen’s Ultra Soothing Lip Tint is an improvement of those lipglosses from that prior era, it takes the best of what we love about lipgloss, while toning down the qualities we don’t like: the stickiness, gooey-ness and excessive flavor/scent that you can detect from yards away. On the packaging, it’s touted as a liquid lip balm, but more accurate would be that it’s closer to a lipgloss. It’s a tinted gel that’s squeezed thru a pretty container/applicator normally used for lipglosses. Thin and sleek, it can fit neatly into the smallest of purses and pockets. It’s the perfect size for toting around during the summer. And it’s especially made for the summer, as the lighter consistency and faint hint of color is what most of us gals want during the warmer months. The fruitiness and scent of the flavors I tried, the Guava and Pomegranate, are light and tropical, with just a tinge of sweetness. The Lip Tint leaves my lips moist and smooth for hours on end.

The first thing that I noticed about Sally Hansen’s Ultra Soothing Lip Tint was that it was paraben free. I normally try to maintain an organic diet and try to apply that to all aspects of my life. Therefore, when it comes to makeup I often opt for products that are natural and paraben free. The fact that Sally Hansen’s lip tint was preservative free was a huge plus. I’m also not huge on color, and always find myself attracted to sheer lipsticks and soft glosses. I loved that I could chose from Sally Hansen’s vast selection of colors and neither of them appeared too bright or inappropriate. I loved the smooth texture of the gloss. It left my lips feeling soft and shiny, without the sticky feel. There are so many ways that you can wear this as well. I love wearing it on its own or over any matte lipstick to brighten up my look. I loved this product so much, I told all my friends to get it.
