Whom You Know Recommends Monster Thursday by the Film Movement

Catch a wave and your sitting on top of....Norway?  Peachy Deegan thinks of California, Hawaii and Florida when she thinks surfing, but Peachy IS American, and so has an American perspective.  So put on your wetsuit (it looks like it is freezing in Norway), wax up your surfboard, and make some popcorn.  Monster Thursday is an excellent film by the Film Movement, with complex characters, an intricate storyline, and an international flavor.  How boring it would be to watch the run of the mill summer blockbusters only: you should open your mind to all of the independent films worth watching and this is one of them!  Perfect for summer, Monster Thursday will entertain and delight you, and the beach cinematography is particularly outstanding.  We highly recommend Monster Thursday by the Film Movement.

Even leads a directionless life. Tord, his best friend, is the opposite: a great surfer with a prestigious job and beautiful Karen as his bride. The last part is especially hard on Even, who is not-so-secretly in love with Karen. When Tord asks him to look after Karen while he is out of town, Even decides to clean up his act and master the waves to impress her. At first he's a prime candidate for drowning, but a local surfing legend becomes his mentor, and Even, Tord and Karen end up on a collision course with the monster wave.
