Kusmi Tea Four Red Fruits Recommended by Whom You Know

Kusmi Tea (www.kusmitea.com), originating in Russia, blends the finest natural ingredients from around the world, making each tea distinct and exuding sophistication. Over the past 140 years, Kusmi Tea has perfected the art of blending unique teas distinguished by their exceptional flavor, aroma, and quality. Invigorating to all senses, each aspect is glorified by master blenders at Kusmi, ensuring the smallest detail is never over looked.

Kusmi combines tea leaves from China, India and Ceylon into the perfect array of flavors. The merge of different cultures and traditions compels every tea-lover to appreciate the nuances that make each blend unique.

The original master blender of this legendary tea, Pavel Kousmichoff, was the son of a Russian peasant family. He earned his way into the tea business as a delivery man for a small tea boutique. His obvious knack for herbal combinations caught the attention of the store owner, who then taught him the art of tea combinations.

By 1917, the Kousmichoff family had opened a total of 51 stores in Russia and Europe. The headquarters moved to France, but after the upset of World War II, the brand was in dire need to be strengthened and renewed.

From Kousmichoff Tea’s Russian roots to its French elegance, Mr. Orebi saw the promising potential in the brand and bought it in 2004. Mr. Orebi promptly went to work on the brand, re-naming it Kusmi Tea, an abbreviation of Kousmichoff, an appealing name to consumers, while respecting the family and all of their efforts. Since then, Kusmi Tea has successfully continued to carry on the important tradition of artisan tea blending while expanding the company’s range of products to meet global market trends.

The luxurious brand specializes in teas such as: Russian, Green, Black, Decaf & Red, Herbal, and Wellness. These assortments are recognized for their perfect balance of savory and herbal essence to the smell and taste. All tea leaves are gently hand-picked then cultivated to later delicately blend into a Kusmi masterpiece.

The closely guarded century-old recipes for Kusmi’s Russian Blends are the foundation of their on-going success. Created from premium black tea leaves of Ceylon, India and China, the tea leaves are combined with luscious perfumes to achieve perfection. Whether the bouquet highlights sun-ripened mandarin orange, bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, or lime, or the intoxicating scent of vanilla, cinnamon and clove, Kusmi’s exclusive Russian Blends is an indulgence for all. Kusmi’s Russian Blends include Anastasia, Bouquet de Fleurs, Kashmir Tchai, Petrushka, Prince Vladimir, Samovar, St. Petersburg, Troika and Zoubrovka.

Kusmi’s Green Teas will grace the tongue and convey a smooth taste. The smells will bring a familiar yet exceptional feel to mind, with invigorating aroma such as mint, almond, citrus and the extraordinary jasmine-flowered scents, which are infused into the incomparable green teas. The Green Teas give a new trendy take on the tea that has been dated back to China more than four thousand years ago, and is something that even the most avid green tea lover will find innovative and refreshing. Green Tea flavors include China Green Tea with Nanah Mint, Green Bouquet, Green Zoubrovka, Almond Green Tea, Gunpowder Green Tea, Jasmine Green Tea, Lung China Dragon Well Green Tea and Green Darjeeling Arya Tea.

The Peachy's Pantry Panel put the Four Red Fruits Tea to the test, and they say about the tea with cherry, strawberry, raspberry and currant:

All of us avid tea drinkers here in New York City are sure to greet the recent arrival of Kusmi Tea with much excitement, as this is our veritable 'candy store.'  Kusmi carries an astounding variety and blends of green, black, red, herbal, wellness and decaf teas, developed and perfected over the past 140 years that they've been in business.  My afternoon cup of tea is an almost-daily indulgence, something to be enjoyed that also is a great pick-me-up that keeps me going for the remainder of the day.  One of the Kusmi blends that I'll be adding to my daily afternoon routines is the Four Red Fruits, a black China tea infused with scents of cherry, strawberry, raspberry and currant.  Many brands of fruit-flavored/essenced teas tend to be overly fruity, to the point where the fruit flavors overwhelm the taste of the tea itself, but this particular Kusmi blend allows the actual tea's flavor to come thru while the fruity essence complements it in just the right intensity.  The feel and taste of this tea is light and clean.  It's the perfect tea for when you want a fruity essence but need for the tea to be able to stand on its own.

Tea of the gods
Thank you for letting me try the KUSMI "Four Red Fruits" Tea.  Without benefit of a proper teapot and tea ball, I am roughing it with a Styrofoam cup and a little judicious stirring with a bamboo chopstick; and am now sipping my second brewing of about 1 TBSP in 6 ounces of hot (not boiling) water, from a water cooler/heater.
First, the aroma of the dry tea is clean and fruity, not too heavy and potpourri like.  The aroma of the brew continues in that vein.  The flavor follows suit with crisp and clean fruit flavors from the infusions, and the earthy backdrop of the Chinese black blend beautifully, and there is no bitterness or "caffeine" taste. although there is certainly the desired physiological stimulation.  I have tried many teas, having visited and bought tea at Fortnum and Mason in London ; for High tea, as well as several trips to Singapore and Hong Kong  bringing back a wide variety Chinese black and jasmine, but mostly green teas.  Further I drink a lot of Harney Tea and am personal friends with the Harney family.  I have enjoyed many teas and find that the KUSMI "Four red fruits" can stand up to any of them.  I can't wait to try it iced!

Upon hearing that Kusmi Tea of Paris had opened a store in Manhattan, I had a friend stop by and pick up a tin of Four Red Fruits tea.  When opened, the attractive red tin released a pleasant aroma of a mixture of Black China tea blended with cherry, strawberry, raspberry and current.  I immediately had to brew a cup and followed the suggested method on the enclosed pamphlet.  The tea was as pleasing to my taste buds as the aroma was to my olfactory system.  Kusmi Tea of Paris originated in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1867 and has been producing a variety of tea blends since then.  I also heard that Kusmi Tea of Paris   have a new tea called "Be Cool", a relaxing, caffeine-free blend that would be perfect for those of us that prefer a cup of tea before bedtime.  Kusmi Tea range from black or green tea, either plain or flavored.  We all know the health benefits of green tea, and the spearmint flavored tea is one I am also looking forward to purchase soon.  The company  also produces some wellness and detox blend teas.  The Manhattan store is located at 1037 Third Avenue, near 61st Street, drop by and enjoy!

I have always been a big tea lover. I especially love flavored teas. This is one just hits the spot - Kusmi four red fruit tea. I really enjoy having it hot or on ice. It has the best aroma of fruit flavors. I really love the packaging. It comes in a cute round tin. I have introduced this tea to many of my friends and they all can't get enough. I will be gifting these tins of teas to all of my friends. Not only is it a great package for gifting but what's inside keeps on giving!
