NIGHTLIGHT: NEARLY 1,000 DID GO WILD AT CENTRAL PARK ZOO FOR THE 26TH ANNUAL ULTIMATE SUMMERTIME PARTY Presented by News Corporation
The New York City – Southern NY Chapter of the National MS Society hosted The 26th Annual Ultimate Summertime Party presented by News Corporation last night. 1,000 young professionals attended and helped raise $94,000 to support the hundreds of annual programs and services for people living with MS. Funds raised will also support national research for the cause and cure of the disease. Guests enjoyed a bevy of food, beverages, and spirits from local restaurants and bars, and were treated to live music by NYC band The Tremors. Guest host JJ Kincaid of Z100 joined the party too! It was a balmy summer evening, with a whimsical touch, and completely melted away everyone's workday, as guests sipped on chilled prosecco under a canopy of trees and meandered along winding paths. The scrumptious spread of hors d’oeuvre stations and icy cold beverages, complete with snow cones, cotton candy machines, savory corned beef and cabbage sliders, and live music, all against a backdrop of tangerine table clothes gently moving with the breeze, was topped off with sea lions playfully swimming in their pool. The grand finale, however, goes to the penguins, which were really enjoying themselves, literally “chilling” inside their very own Central Park Zoo cabana. This was an excellent event!
The New York City – Southern New York Chapter of the National MS Society is committed to helping the 10,000 people living with multiple sclerosis in the five boroughs and Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Sullivan counties continue moving their lives forward. The chapter raises funds locally to support the Society’s critical research initiatives and to provide hundreds of comprehensive support services and educational programs for people living with MS, their family and friends.
