Petite Peachy: Cooking, Baking and Grilling are on the 2010 Educo Menu in 2010 High Quality Realistic Role Play Toys Offer Recipes for Fun, Highly Recommended by Whom You Know

Few pretend play activities are as popular as playing cook or master chef.  That’s because preschoolers adore the idea of copying the act of cooking, baking and preparing and serving foods, just like mom and dad.  Offering recipes for fun, Educo, positioned as a high quality affordable brand, is introducing several new additions to their role play range for 2010.

Maggie Qiu, Managing Director of North American sales and distribution, says: “Our goal is to have children experience the value of playing with our classic toys from infant through their early school years.”   That means introducing more products for children at younger age ranges and in different toy categories as they grow older.

Educo’s Recipe for Fun
Having established itself as a resource for kitchens, Educo is excited to announce three new items specific to youngsters who have experienced the lip-smacking taste of barbequed food.  Unique in wood,My Backyard BBQ (SRP $119.95) is a realistic charcoal grill with a hood that moves up and down, reversible grill top, collapsible side table and even wheels.  The grate pulls out to accommodate grilling and stovetop use or the entire top can be used for a BBQ party.  Knobs “click” as they are turned and the graphic on the grill base confirms the fire is “ready” for foods to be grilled.  A realistic accessory set of My Backyard BBQ Fix’ns (SRP $24.95) includes two shish kabobs, a tongs and mustard and ketchup.    The tabletop Go Anywhere Grill (SRP $39.95) is the perfect recipe for chefs with limited space.  This grill includes two steaks with one side uncooked and the other showing grill marks to accompany the fish, meat and veggie shish-kabobs, making play as realistic as possible.  Even the five charcoal have a side painted red to show the coals are “hot” and are safely stowed in a cotton bag marked “charcoal.”

Our little Petite Peachy's put this to the test, and we highly recommend these toys. Their parents say:

Anyone who has a child know that “Plastic Paradise” can take over your home. Junky toys that can never be passed down and are covered in obnoxious bright colors we stay away from. Nothing, I mean nothing,  is better than quality wood toys. The kind you wish you could exclusively buy and don’t mind having all over your house. The kind that your friends come over and ooh and ahhh over. I was recently introduced to a children’s toy company, Hape that make high quality toys that inspire creativity and imagination as well as pretend play. They toys are both fun and educational. I am in awe. My daughter received the tabletop GO ANYWHERE GRILL that is beautifully crafter of wood. It includes a grill, shish kabobs with wooden vegetables and meats. Charcoal that looks like it is glowing hot and tongs to flip the steaks that are seared on one side. How cute is that. My daughter is two and half now and already adores this grill. She constantly brings it outside on our deck to play with it and enjoys stacking the vegetables and meat on the kabobs most. This toy has huge shelf life in the sense that she can grow with it and continue to use it in imaginative play. Even I love to grill with her and help set up the charcoal under rack. It is no surprise that this company has won numerous awards for many different categories and products. The toys range from dollhouses to unique puzzles, building blocks and musical toys. I cannot say enough for this company that is producing one of kind toys that all children will love. This grill will be packed away when she is older and saved to pass down to her children. These toys will never feel dated and I am sure will hold up over time. I plan on filling my playroom with these superior toys! Thanks Hape.

The Go Anywhere Grill by Educo is the newest edition to my daughter’s toy box and we love it.  Since her 2nd birthday back in November, she’s enjoyed cooking for my husband and I in her play kitchen.  Since summer began, she’s been cooking less and less, though.  Clearly, it could be the heat (that’s my excuse!), but I’ve begun to chalk it up to the fact that the cooking had been modeled behavior, and, frankly, she’s not seeing it anymore on a daily basis.  For the past month or so, she’s watched her dad and I toss together salad and throw a meat of choice on the grill nearly every day.  And she’s asked to help, but letting her near a hot grill is not really an option.

As soon as I saw this Go Anywhere Grill, I knew we’d found ourselves a favorite.  Now, while dad is grilling up dinner, my daughter can be found on our porch grilling her own steak and vegetables.  The set-up is just adorable, and the quality is exceptional.  It’s a classic toy in the making!  The set comes with a grill, a pair of tongs (just like dad’s!) individual “charcoal” briquettes, two shish-kabob skewers with veggies, and two pieces of meat that can be served well done or rare depending on which side you serve “up”.  It’s hysterical, really, because my daughter is now asking how we’d like our steak.  All the fun she’s having is only made better by the fact that the grill is made by a reputable company.  The materials used are certified non-toxic and formaldehyde-free, something that puts my mind at ease.

The Go Anywhere Grill is a winner.  We’re loving it so much, I’m looking at other products from Educo!
