GUILD HALL SUMMER GALA CELEBRATES BARBARA KRUGER EXHIBTION

On Friday August 13 at 6pm, Guild Hall will celebrate the opening of the Barbara Kruger exhibition featuring site-specific installations in the Museum’s galleries. The Gala dinner will also honor philanthropists Patsy and Jeff Tarr.

The party gets started with cocktails and a preview of the Kruger show at Guild Hall, followed by libations and dinner under at tent at the oceanfront estate of Julie Taubman. During the evening, Patrons will have the opportunity to bid on original signed art by esteemed East End artists, including Richard Prince, Larry Rivers, and Elizabeth Peyton. Also, on the block is a tour of the 30 Rock set. What makes this so special is that the tour will be personally given by the one and only Jack Donaghy himself, Alec Baldwin.

Following the auction, there will be dancing under the stars with Peter Duchin and his Orchestra. The evening is sponsored in part by Van Cleef & Arpels.

For those that want an early start on the auction, check out GuildHall.org and if you can’t be there in person…you can still bid!
