NIGHTLIGHT: Fashion Fights Cancer Charity Event Held at the Audi Showroom on Park Avenue a Resounding Success!!!
Peachy Deegan and the fabulous panelists of Whom You Know were in their glory last Thursday as we combined our love of charity, fashion and fabulous cars in one night with Fashion Fights Cancer! Held at the Audi Showroom on Park Avenue, the event was well-attended and the hottest event in Manhattan last Thursday night. The crowd was beautiful! Peachy Deegan was so pleased to see Tyler and Angela sporting their Christian Louboutin's and you'll hear more about that later...
Everytime that they produce this event, they are amazed by the support that they receive from the fashion community. Each year it gets better and better we understand, and we are so glad to make it our first year in event coverage.
Fashion Fights Cancer's continual goal is to out-do the previous year, and we at Whom You Know think this must not be easy-it was an amazing night! Here at Whom You Know, we love when fashion, one of our passionate interests, comes together with one of the causes that we're passionate about, cancer research. Last Thursday night, Fashion Fights Cancer (FFC)'s annual fundraising party was held at the Audi Forum, which provided a great backdrop for this showstopping event. The champagne flowed freely while models strolled about, showcasing the lovely creations by designers such as Tadashi Shoji, Thuy, Whistle Flute, Lotusgrace, Kahri and Byron Lars Beauty Mark.
Pieces from each of these collections were sold in a 'sample sale' format, with sample sale-ish prices that were more than enticing to us partygoers/shoppers and we shopped for Fete de Swifty outfits-look at our countdown only 37 more days now. The proceeds from the event and sample sale benefitted the I'm Too Young for This Cancer Foundation and the Cancer Research Institute, so you can be sure that some of us definitely shopped without any guilt! Some of the designers themselves were present, which added a nice touch and made the event even more special. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and from the looks of everything, so did the other attendees. Another panelist says: What happens when you mix 2 parts fundraiser, 2 parts fashion, 1 part cool cars, and a splash of beautiful people? You get the perfect cocktail of fun at the annual Fashion Fights Cancer event. Socialites, models, and fabulous people converged on the Audi Forum in midtown for an unforgettable event. Groovy music drew tiny pockets of guests to break out in dance spontaneously. There were lots of picture taking with all those fabulous Audi’s and ladies dressed to the nines. Suzy Malick hosted this amazing fundraiser. Five designers generously featured their beautiful clothing and a portion of the proceeds went directly to I’m Too Young for This Cancer Foundation and The Cancer Research Institute. Tasty hors d'oeuvre plates, cupcakes and yummy cocktails certainly satisfied my appetite. Then, armed with champagne and on a mission to contribute to this wonderful cause, I perused through the racks of beautiful dresses, bags, and jewelry. I finally snagged a chic one shouldered mini dress by Lotusgrace. I can’t wait to wear it to my next party! Shopping for a good cause , this was a fantastic event!
