Spa Peachy: Whom You Know Celebrates 100 Years of Elizabeth Arden with Peachy Deegan's Champagne and Rose Facial! When you aren't drinking your Champagne, We Highly Suggest Wearing It! Whom You Know is Pleased to Kick Off Our Coverage of Red Door Spas with the Master of Facials, Nina Maskil!
If you saw Peachy Deegan this weekend, you will see that she is glowing fabulously. And it's not because she got such a high from flying off a trapeze yesterday at Trapeze School, we're going to do that on a sunnier day-it's because she put on her red Donna Ricco dress and headed to Fifth Avenue to the Red Door and took the elevator up 8 floors to the fabulous Champagne and Rose Facial to celebrate 100 Years of Elizabeth Arden.
It takes Peachy about 5 seconds to decide whether she likes a new place when she steps inside, and we like Elizabeth Arden's Red Door Spas. This is a Spa for Whom You Know readers! It is fabulously clean and boasts an atmosphere of class, style and intelligence. Not to mention history; Elizabeth Arden in 100 years old this year. To celebrate, during the year 2010 they are offering a special facial of Champagne and Roses and Peachy just HAD TO HAVE IT. We highly recommend it and you need to book your appointment before December 31st. It is:
Red Door Champagne & Rose Facial
Splashes of complexion-toning champagne, paired with the long-known replenishing qualities of the rose, gently exfoliate and deeply hydrate the skin. Arms, neck and shoulders are massaged with warm stones as a rejuvenating collagen mask is absorbed. Beautiful, petal soft results for all skin types.
It is as wonderful as it sounds and a real deal at $150. The collagen treatment alone is worth $65. The whole experience was flawless, which we can't say for many spas. From the minute Peachy arrived, Dominique Restucci was smiling brightly at the desk and greeted Peachy warmly, pronouncing her name correctly and taking her on time. Unlike some receptionists we have seen that seem not so into their job, Dominique exudes enthusiasm and we like to see that the minute we walk in. And she is genuinely glad to greet spa clients.
Peachy then met the fabulous Nina Maskil, whom you would think must have started her career at age 10 since she's spent over 30 years in beauty. She is totally master of this facial and if you can book Nina, you should. First she cleaned Peachy's face, toned it, and exfoliated it expertly with the Ceramide line. With the exfoliator on Peachy's face, next the Champagne and Rose scrub was used on Peachy's decollete and arms, followed by the butter cream also of Champagne and Rose, both by Keyano Aromatics of New York. Then Nina gave Peachy's arms a warm stone massage. This was luxuriously followed by the Villa Floriani (from Italy) Olive Oil spray on Peachy's arms and hands, which were then placed in warm mittens with a hot stone in each, which were previously used in the massage. A warm pad was placed on Peachy's stomach, and during this whole process a steam machine misted over Peachy's entire top area. Next came extraction, which is optional, and Peachy's pores were super clean. Then toner followed, then the collagen mask which has a spot for your nose and mouth so you can breathe of course.
In hockey game terms, which is how Peachy thinks of everything in life, there was then an intermission for 10-12 minutes while the collagen mask did its trick. Peachy was so relaxed she nearly fell asleep. This almost never happens in a spa because rarely are they as meticulously clean and comfortable as Red Door Spas. Then Nina returned to remove the mask, and she put moisturizer and eye cream on Peachy, who was pleased as punch with the whole experience! On the way out, Guest Service Manager Denise Poppa gladly greeted us and we were so pleased. In a spa that has about 300 people working there and 30 of them in this facial area with 22 rooms, you really feel like an individual getting premium treatment. This is not at all a spa factory.
Whom You Know highly recommends the Champagne and Rose Facial by Elizabeth Arden's Red Door Spas and Nina Maskil, and you should all celebrate this 100 year milestone this way!
