Our enthusiasm for footwear transcends all rationality at Whom You Know, and although Peachy's current favorite is Dana Davis-see Shoe of the Week:

we know that Christian Louboutin has captured the hearts of many, including our friends Angela and Tyler. In fact, here she is right now with him:

Peachy's favorite shoes are her 20-year-old beloved Ralph Lauren Penny loafers, as she said in Tyler's Haute and the City (and you know we almost never quote other websites but Tyler is our friend):

Angela and Tyler's combined enthusiasm collided in true Hommage (oooh that is our men's favorite product line-stay tuned for more on that in coming posts) to the King of the red-bottomed shoe at the Fashion Fights Cancer Audi event:

Tyler:
My enthusiasm for good shoes began approximately three years ago, when I first became interested in fashion and style. Since then, I have collected many pairs of unique, yet stylish, pairs of shoes.
Before long, though, I became frustrated at (or perhaps jealous of) how women prized their shoes. There were all kinds of styles, designs and, of course, iconic shoe designers. Where was the Manolo for men, I wondered?
With a footwear fascination occupying part of my brain, it was impossible not to notice the flashes of the red soles underneath the uber-stylish stilettos fashioned by Christian Louboutin. The red sole says it all-style, class, elegance-everything I could want!
I found the men's CL Louis Studded Sneakers nearly a year ago. After months of wanting, a promotion and a raise, I decided I was ready to own those CL's! I marched to the Upper East Side Louboutin boutique, which ended up being closed (it was Sunday- I forgot to check).
Not to be deterred, I called the boutique the next day to make sure they had the shoes. Instead, I was put on a 7-page waiting list. This sparked a mission like no other- I HAD to have those shoes! I called boutiques around the country, only to be added to waiting lists longer than reason.
Finally, CL announced his Fall/Winter 2010 collection, which included my Louis sneakers! I ran down to the Louboutin boutique and was the first on the waiting list. Three months later, I received a call than I could get my shoes. It's been Louboutin love ever since!
Everyone deserves to feel like a star once-in-while (or maybe more than that!). That's how my CL's make me feel; and I can't wait for my next pair!

Angela:
My Louboutin Love began in 2005 – I caught sight of a pair leopard pony print peep toe pumps with the infamous red sole on the fashion pages of the Post. I clipped the picture, posted it on my bulletin board in my office and vowed that I would buy my first pair ASAP. From that point on, I started to notice all the women in the city with those red soles - fashionable and sexy and I wanted to join the pack of fashionistas with my very own pair! My first pair of CL’s was the “Cha Cha” - peep toe, black suede heels with sexy fringes up the vamp of this t-strap shoe. Special because not only were they my first, but they were my birthday present from my super cool boyfriend. That moment commenced my first official step into the Louboutin world. I would walk into a boutique or shoe department and be thrown into a frenzy – music in my ears, clouding all judgment - think Yello’s– “oooooh yeah” – chicka chicka chicka! Those magical red soles and the array of styles he offers up every season! They never get boring! Calling my name!! Over a short period of time, one turned into many as I put any extra cash I had towards my shoe fund. Yes, there are crazy things a lady will do to get her shoes! I have braved all kinds of weather and sacrificed sleep, started saving my packing lunches and making morning coffee, to get that last pair in my size; scoured the web for Louboutin signings, events, or anything remotely related to his shoes; built an outfit AROUND my shoes; cared for my babies with TLC; and never let them face the rain! But I do love, love, love dancing in my Louboutins!! Last September I discovered the Mr. Louboutin himself would be at Bergdorf’s for a meet and greet and signing of his shoes. I cleared my afternoon schedule and marched to Bergdorf’s in my Louboutin’s to get my Eugenie’s signed by the man behind the genius – my blue velvet beauties are encrusted with Swarovski crystals on the heel and platform – a lovely Christmas gift, from none other than my lovely boyfriend Tom. Yes, he certainly contributes my obsession! I had the pleasure of meeting the Mr. Louboutin that day and he wrote a personal note and signed the red soles of my Eugenie’s. As I started towards the escalator of the second floor of Bergdorf’s shoe department, a pair of glittering sling backs caught my eye, the music started again, and I succumbed to temptation - knowing I would not leave without them. Five minutes later and to Mr. Louboutin’s surprise I was back getting another pair signed. My next Louboutin Love mission, which I will embrace? Visiting the boutique in Paris and of course leaving the store with a pair!!
What can I say? I feel like a Cinderella-Diva every time I slip on my shoes!
