PRESENTING THE SHORTLIST FOR YOUTUBE PLAY. A BIENNIAL OF CREATIVE VIDEOSelected from more than 23,000 videos from 91 countries, the Guggenheim's curators have announced the shortlist of 125 of the world's most creative videos on YouTube. Visityoutube.com/play now to view the selections.
Revealing an abundance of creative energy, the YouTube Play shortlist includes videos created by students, video artists, photographers, filmmakers, composers, video game programmers, an American Women’s Chess Champion, a comedy improv group, a Swedish rock band, a South African hip-hop group, and an Australian electronic music producer, among others.
Now the YouTube Play jury will select up to 20 of their top choices to be revealed and presented at the Guggenheim on October 21. The presentation will be live streamed to a worldwide audience at youtube.com/play. Mark your calendars to stop by the museum between Friday, October 22 and Sunday, October 24 to see the top 20 works presented in the museum's Annex Level 2 gallery.
