NIGHTLIGHT: Fashion Fights Cancer Presents ‘Let Go To Hold On’ a charity benefit honoring Thuy Diep

Last week, Fashion Fights Cancer closed out NY Fashion Week with the charity benefit Let Go to Hold On at the Ana Tzarev Gallery (www.anatzarev.com). Fashion Fights Cancer definitely brings out a beautifully fashionable crowd.   Whom You Know is pleased to support all cancer charities in honor of Peachy's grandmother, Elizabeth Deegan, who is pictured on this website and passed away from brain cancer.  She certainly loved to shop so she definitely would have enjoyed designing something while she battled cancer.  We think this is a fabulous idea.  Despite the torrential downpours, New Yorkers headed to mid-town to participate in part two of Fashion Fights Cancer’s fundraising event.  This time, instead of being surrounded by Audi’s we were surrounded by the beautiful artwork featured at Ana Tzarev’s Gallery on 57th Street.  Fashion Week Designer Thuy Diep was also honored.  Her beautiful models draped in her lovely dresses which are works of art themselves!  With cameras flickering and cocktails flowing, the attendees generously donated their time and funds to benefit Fashion Fights Cancer and Out with Cancer causes.  This was a wonderful event for a great cause – the threatening thunderstorms couldn’t stop us!

Thuy Diep was this year’s honoree and she displayed her spring/summer 2010 collection. She was inspired by the bugs she saw on her trip to abroad. That inspiration was translated beautifully to silk dresses. She has a wonderful way of mixing colors and patterns that is so feminine and delicate. A few of Thuy’s closest friends and colleagues spoke about her accomplishments. Among those was Pialy Aditya, president of MintBox.com.

The sponsors of this event were MintBox.com, Zink Magazine, CharityHappenings.com, Starbright Forals, YOUAREONTHELIST.COM, Ana Tzarev Gallery.  Proceeds were donated to Out With Cancer! and the Fashion Fights Cancer Therapeutic Building Fund.

Hosting this wonderful event was Robin Ross of YOUAREONTHELIST.com and Steven Beltrani of CharityHappenings.org.
