NIGHTLIGHT: The Nightlight of all Nightlights, the Second Annual Fashion's Night Out! Peachy Deegan hits the Hottest Eleven Places in the Night Created by Anna Wintour, Whom We Admire and Have Interviewed Twice. Whom You Know Visits Vivienne Tam because they Served Star Vodka, Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, BVLGARI, Tiffany, Porsche Store, Calvin Klein, Domenico Vacca, Carolina Herrera, Reed Krakoff, J McLaughlin and swung by the most Fashionable Restaurant on Earth, Swifty's to say hello to Stephen at the end!
So, if you read us closely, you know we have said that there is no better Nightlight ever than dinner at Swifty's, and that certainly holds true, and Swifty's was the cherry on top of the sundae tonight. It also was a bit of Mover and Shaker golf, as we hit so many Movers and Shakers it was like playing a round. Last night we saw Mover and Shaker Kick Kennedy:

who has some exciting news for our column Small Screen Scenes. Tonight we saw so many of our Movers and Shakers!
Peachy Deegan is a morning person, so you know it was a really good night if she's staying up this late to tell you and she's got to be out the door early tomorrow...
We started off the night right downtown with Vivienne Tam, and they came to our attention as they were intelligent enough to partner with Star Vodka. If you have read us before, you know Star Vodka is the only vodka Peachy drinks, and it should be the only vodka you drink too. Also, it is a bit like Red Bull for her. Last year, after the Keith Lissner show in Chelsea which geographically to Peachy is like darkest Peru, she checked out the Star Lounge (not there now) and her study showed the next day after enthusiastically consuming Star Vodka, she did not have a hangover and in fact hit 20 stops on the first Fashion's Night Out. Vivienne had a lovely idea with her runway show for guests where they were eligible to win prizes for modeling her looks. This was quite popular, but not as popular as Star Vodka! Obviously the vodka is only as good as the person behind it just like any other product of excellence, and Charles Ferri is one of our most favorite Movers and Shakers:

Here he is as a Mover and Shaker:

As we always say the cream rises to the top, so when we see one Mover and Shaker we are bound to see more and Georgina Bloomberg, equestrienne extraordinaire, was there too:

And again, like at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, Georgina's outfit was sharp too we must say as she also had a dark jacket over a light top, like Peachy. We don't know who was writing about her not having a great outfit at the Veuve Clicquot Classic as she referred to in her interview with us, but they must not know how to dress.

We will have to share some with Stephen Attoe at Swifty's as he love love loves Gin more than anything except Pat. Sarah and her mom were delightful!
Next was stop three, BVLGARI. We have loved BVLGARI for a long time and began covering them in April 2009. They loved us when we were little, and we love them. They absolutely had one of the best ideas tonight in having a Patty Smyth concert and we loved hearing "Goodbye to You," among other hits by Patty. John McEnroe, her husband, was on hand and we were pleased to meet Rita Wilson; Rita could not have been nicer and more pleasant!
http://www.whomyouknow.com/2010/07/movers-and-shakers-ellen-christine-hat.html See you tomorrow, Ellen! Doesn't she look fabulous.
Since it was so close, we could not resist Tiffany's and the girls dressed up as Audrey. We ate some popcorn at the Porsche store, and they had an excellent DJ. Calvin Klein was stop number seven, and they've always been a favorite of ours-Peachy used to save babysitting money to wear Calvin, and still has her dad's holy jeans from the early 80's where Brooke said nothing came between her and her Calvin's. Domenico Vacca had some lovely Ferraris in addition to some hot new looks, and we were thrilled to check out Carolina Herrera and see Amber De Vos (our coverage on her: http://www.whomyouknow.com/2010/09/nightlight-amber-de-voss-me-nycelf-and.html). Carolina is one of the best designers around and we look forward to covering her more closely. Next we swung by Reed Krakoff, a new store, and finalized the fashion night at J. McLaughlin, a brand we look forward to covering more closely. Getting to J. McLaughlin is kind of like coming home as we hold preppy near and dear to our heart. And of course, it's across the street from Swifty's.
The night ended perfectly with Peachy swinging by Swifty's, the most fashionable restaurant on earth! We chatted with Mover and Shaker Steven Attoe, and discussed the finer points of gin.

Last year, as it was the first Fashion's Night Out, we tried to do it all and hit 20 places. This year we decided it was about quality, not quantity. Happy Fashion Week New York! Brilliant idea Anna, but you know we thought you were brilliant before. See our interviews with Anna Wintour in Whom You Know video:
