With the Ready, Set, Draw books, kids as young as four can learn to draw. With simple, step-by-step instructions, the books allow kids to draw a multitude of different figures. The newest edition, Ready, Set, Draw: Under The Sea, features 18 different sea creatures for children to practice drawing. Learning to draw will help develop kids’ confidence and creativity. Ready, Set, Draw makes it easy and fun, with imaginative themes. The book comes with a set of colored pencils, as well. It’s great for entertaining kids because they can learn to draw independently with the book. This gives them a great foundation for creating their own designs and basis for future projects. This is a great gift to give for any inspiring artist or those who need some further inspiration.

This book is a lot of fun! My son immediately loved the double-ended colored pencils…"There are two colors on this pencil, Mommy!” He was very excited to take each pencil out and to label the colors. He was even more excited to open the book and to find that he could draw on the pages. “I can do artwork in my book!”, he said excitedly as he colored in the pictures. From a child’s point of view, what a great package! This is a book in which they can be creative and a sketch pad on which to doodle freely…what more could a pre-school age child ask for? From a parents point of view, not only is it fun for the child, but it also offers them some simple drawing skills. It is broken down into three simple steps. First choose a sea creature to draw, next trace the creature, then using the numbered boxes, draw each new step shown in red. By the time the child arrives at the last box, they have drawn a complete sea creature! It is satisfying for the child and also very exciting! This book is a great introduction to drawing for children!
