Sporty Peachy: Personal Trainer Marc Perry and his firm: Elite Training Partners Recommended by Whom You Know

The truth is, Peachy Deegan has not been this sore ever in recent memory, not even from Trapeze School and walking to the Upper East side from Battery Park afterwards...but that is testament to Personal Trainer Marc Perry's insight into the human body and what strength training really is and how to do it properly.  Peachy is in shape but apparently she is not using all of her muscles....Recently, Peachy met Marc at an event where she was introduced to him by one of our most favorite Movers and Shakers, and she decided that many readers would benefit from knowing more about this elite business.    It is private, it is exclusive, and it works.  Marc played Lacrosse at Yale and now is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (National Strength & Conditioning Association) and a Certified Personal Trainer (American Council on Exercise).

Strength Training is important because it regulates your metabolism and prevents osteoporosis, among other positive factors.  By definition, it is lifting a weight using your body as a weight for under 20 repetitions.  In addition to the strength training, flexibility and cardio are part of the training session with Marc.  Peachy Deegan began doing squats with a ball behind her back, then carried on to lunges.  Next came pushing against a bar, then pulling with a pulley.  The smooth style of these exercises will give you a body to die for, in addition to allowing you to achieve the height of your fitness level and goals.  Often, plyometrics (example: jumping rope), which is using jumping motions to create the greatest amount of tension in the shortest period of time, are employed with the strength training to kick it up a notch.

Marc Perry began as a personal trainer in September 2008, and holds one-on-one sessions with clients at a private gym in Midtown Manhattan.  Peachy Deegan does not like gyms at all because they are germy for the most part and not so entertaining, but this gym was immaculate, even the bathroom, so this is a gym we'd recommend.  Also, Peachy does not like any exercise that feels like work: she likes fun activities where she is entertained like rollerblading and playing sports....and Marc understands that!  This session we must say was really fun even though it was inside in a gym on a beautiful day, because Marc's upbeat attitude and persistent smile makes even the most impossible client inspired to do repetitions of each strength activity.  Clients are concentrated in the age 25 to 40 group, and this is an incredibly bespoke process.

Marc is totally serious too: if a client wants to start sessions immediately, the completion of a basic medical and exercise history form is the only requirement.  He asks a lot of questions to tailor the program he designs for you perfectly.  He'll want to know about your medical history, exercise history, lifestyle, nutrition, and fitness goals. All your information provided is kept strictly confidential.  Additionally, before beginning any training sessions, he tests the following:
Resting Heart Rate
Body Fat
Body Measurements
Blood Pressure
Posture
Total Energy Expenditure
Aerobic Capacity
Strength
Flexibility

Then, he analyzes weak points, areas of strength, and makes recommendations as to how he can best help you meet your health and fitness goals. Then it's time for the Training Sessions to begin!  Marc meets with clients for either 30, 45 or 60 minute sessions. Also, you can use the online Elite Fitness Tracker, which has nutritional and exercise tracking, but this is at your discretion.   Whom You Know recommends Marc Perry and Elite Training Partners!  If you want to get in shape and have an excellent Personal Trainer and/or Coach, this is where you want to go.
