WORD COUTURE LAUNCHES LINE OF PERSONALIZED WINE BOTTLE HURRICANE LANTERNS

Environmentally responsible craft maker Word Couture has launched a line of personalized wine bottle hurricane lanterns to be sold on-line and at fairs and wine industry events in Connecticut, Peachy's favorite state, and the surrounding states. These hand-crafted, one of a kind items have already been selected as centerpieces by wedding and event planners because of their elegance and unique design. Word Couture’s artisans manufacture the lanterns from wine bottles that would have otherwise been destined for local landfills, and have developed processes for de-labeling, cutting, finishing that preserve the integrity of the glass. Real-wax battery operated candles are included with the bottles to create the lantern effect. Once the lanterns are produced, Word Couture’s design team then has the capability to personalize them with monograms, wedding or anniversary dates, or corporate logos. Peachy Deegan saw these at Lime Rock Park's Litchfield Food & Wine Festival, so she had the panel take a look:

When I received this lantern, I thought it was one of the best ideas. I would have never thought to recycle a wine bottle to use as a lantern. The battery operated candle to place underneath was so cute. Plus, the candle is scented, which makes for a bonus. You can turn it on and the heat from the light gives off a light vanilla scent. I love the way it looks when the candle is going and the room is dark. After checking out their website,www.wordcouture.com, I couldn't help but think how much I loved it. I would absolutely buy more from them! I think these lanterns are a wonderful gift idea for anyone. I highly recommend it.

This beautiful hand crafted wine bottle lantern is one of a kind. WordCuture has definitely out done themselves. I love that you can customize each bottle to write anything on them. The engraving is deep and very well done. These bottles create a beautiful shadow, a light that illuminates a surface so well that it creates the ambiance. I love anything that is unique and fun to use outdoors. They are great for parties and as a gift. One of the best parts of this lantern is that it comes with a flameless candle. You don't have to worry about the clean up once the candle melts because it doesn't!
