I call it my luxury journal! It looks like a beautiful piece of art sitting on my coffee table. But, it is more than art it is a place where I can write my all my thoughts and stories. When I lift the book, the weight in my hand is an indicator that this is definitely not your typical drugstore notebook. This notebook screams quality. The cover is thick and indented which gives the art a rich texture. A clever magnetic flap keeps this exquisite journal closed when not in use or floating in my YSL bag. The paper is a warm cream color and even my terrible handwriting looks nice against this backdrop. My pen writes smoothly along the quality paper. This journal is so unique I absolutely love it. It reminds me of one of one of my favorite movies--Casablanca.  Right now, I am teaching my students how to keep things in a journal as one of our writing assignments. I tell them they need something that represents them as a person in hopes they might take more care of it. I explained that the cover of this journal reminds me of a move I love and watch over and over again. Because of this, it makes me want to keep all my thoughts and ideas in it. Many of my colleagues have come in to see how I do this project with my students and have commented on this journal. They want to know where they can get one as well.
