Hartford Wolf Pack to be Re-Branded as Connecticut Whale on November 27 The Hartford Wolf Pack's History to be Commemorated on November 13 With Announcement of Hartford Distributors-Bud Light All-Time Wolf Pack Team.
The Hartford Wolf Pack, the AHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, will officially be re-branded as the Connecticut Whale on November 27 for a game vs. the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The announcement was made today by Howard L. Baldwin, chairman of Whalers Sports and Entertainment, which has management control over the team's business operations.
The Wolf Pack's final home game at the XL Center will be on November 13 vs. the Springfield Falcons. There will be several events commemorating the 13-plus year Wolf Pack history that night.
"We usher in the new generation of the Whale on November 27", Baldwin said. "It will be all about the green - including green t-shirts for fans. We'll have many fun features that night, including the Whalers Alumni signing autographs and the long-awaited return of Brass Bonanza to the XL Center."
Baldwin noted that the Whale's new uniforms will be unveiled next week.
"We also feel that the November 13 Wolf Pack game will be a memorable night. We are asking all of our fans to wear blue that night and, starting on Wednesday October 20, we invite the fans to vote on the 'All-Time Wolf Pack Team,' which we'll announce at the November 13 game. Fans can place their votes at CTWhale.com and at various retailers courtesy of Hartford Distributors and Bud Light beginning on October 20."
