Peachy at The Met: The American Wing

We love being American, and we love the American Wing at the Met! You know it underwent a huge renovation recently, and we saw it at its newest recently. The new courtyard is much more open, but we were sad to see dry fountains and miss the bear statues that used to be there. Maybe they are in hibernation already for the winter. The curved seating is nice and the plants look beautiful. The eating area is less tucked away and borders the side with the park in the back. We no longer see the shop in the corner, and overall the feeling is less cluttered so it lends itself even more to a cocktail party (hint hint). We suggest they add an American flag or two...we didn't see one. From the second floor it seems the railings are higher which makes it tough to see if you are undertall like Peachy! But we presume this is better from a safety standpoint.
