I am not kidding when I tell you that as soon as I opened the Whoo’s There? Book by Peter Pauper Press, I oooohed and ahhhhed. My two and a half year old has loved playing with flashlights since she was old enough to hold it up. We always had fun shining the light against the wall and playing shadow games. I thought I had hit the jackpot when I found a princess flashlight that had shapes that fit on the end of it creating castles and tiaras on the wall. Now thanks to Peter Pauper Press I have taken flashlight shadow play to a whole another level. This book is spectacular and spooky and just plain brilliant. For just 12.99, you can hours of fun ahead of you. Just grab a flashlight and start reading about nocturnal animals. Hold your flashlight up to the book and project fireflies, owls, raccoons and more in awesome settings. Great detail and perfect projections make this so intriguing. My Daughter and I had a great time creating shadows on the walls and floors in the dark. She could not get enough. Not only was it fun but it had just enough educational value too explaining about the different animals and their nighttime activities. I hope there are many more of these books available with different themes from Peter Pauper Press. I would buy every single one!
What a great idea for a children's book! My son was immediately intrigued when I got out a flashlight to read this book. After turning out the lights, he became quiet. “We can’t read in the dark,” said my three-year old. Aha, but we can! I shined the flashlight onto the transparency in the book and projected the first image on the wall. As I read the accompanying story in a quiet voice, the tone was set for a very different bedtime story. He was so excited as we made our way through the book. He loved watching the different scenes appear on the wall. Each new scene brought another giggle or gasp! This book is very user-friendly and is sturdy enough to be read over and over again. What a great concept! The story is sweet and captivating. What child doesn’t love a book about animals? This is really a charming product…exciting and different for both parent and child!
