---

At Akris, the look was a wet, high-shine knot inspired by simplicity and elegance.

"Akris is a very simple, elegant, and sophisticated design house and we wanted the hair to reflect that.  The designer had visited Japan in July and was very inspired by the gardens so that is the inspiration for the both the collection, and the hair. –Guido, Redken Creative Consultant

At Sonia Rykiel, the look was inspired by a French woman from the 1930s and 40s with big bouncy curls.

At Jean Paul Gaultier, the look was outgrown black Mohawk wigs (a few with color) inspired by Joan Jett and David Bowie, for a very ‘rock and roll’ feel.

“Joan Jett was the main inspiration for the look the season, so we decided to put outgrown mowhawk shaped wigs on all the models.  We’ve changed the way we look at wigs, there was a time when wearing a wig was very taboo, and now it’s a fun way to mix up your look.  The key to wearing a wig is bringing it into a salon and having your stylist cut/trim the wig to fit your face – it’s not one size fits all.  That’s what we’re doing here today, putting the wigs on the models and trimming to compliment their face.” –Guido, Redken Creative Consultant

Redken Products:
-structure wax 17 classic styling was
-forceful 23 super strength finishing spray

Create the look:
-Wrap hair tight to the head and secure the wig with pins
-Trim the wig to frame the model’s face in a complimentary way
-Apply structure wax to the ends and style the mohawk in a piecey, rocker way
-Finish with forceful 23 hairspray

At Loewe, hair was pulled back into a thick ponytail to complement the accessories in the collection.

“This collection features a lot of accessories so we wanted to create a hairstyle that would compliment the accessories on the runway.  A ponytail is a look that always works on a woman.  Today we added a little bit of “drama” but adding extensions to make the ponytail hit the lower back.” –Guido, Redken Creative Consultant

Redken Products:
-thickening lotion 06 body builder
-spray starch 15 versatile ironing spray

Create the look:
-Apply thickening lotion 06 to hair and blow-dry hair straight.
-Pull hair away from the face and into a ponytail right above the occipital bone (with no part).
-Apply long extensions around the ponytail so the ends of the hair end at the lower back
-Wrap a small section of hair around the base of the ponytail to cover the elastic
-Apply spray starch 15 and flat iron ponytail so it’s perfectly straight
