News from the Society of Illustrators
The Honorable Mayor Michael Bloomberg, on behalf of the City of New York, will be proclaiming the second week of November as Illustration Week. A representative from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs will be presenting the Proclamation during the Summer Illustration Art Academy Reception at the Society of Illustrators on Friday, November 5 at 5pm.

The Universe of Gary Baseman

Illustrators pose alongside professional models as the Dining Room transforms into a large sketch studio. Live jazz will be performed by The Half-Tones featuring Barry Blitt, Joe Ciardiello and Michael Sloan, award winning illustrators who are also professional musicians.
