Everyone at Whom You Know loves a fabulous soiree, so we just had to read Plan to Party!

Our panel states:

For those of us wannabe party hosts and hostesses yearning to throw a fabulous themed house party where all of the details have been meticulously thought out but yet we're allowed to be guests at our own party, then Plan to Party by Elizabeth Mascali and Dawn Sandomeno of Partybluprints Inc. is the absolute guide to have at your side.  However intimate or large, whether in size of guestlist, home, budget and time constraints, Elizabeth and Dawn lays out the framework for throwing a party that's sure to be memorable from start to finish.  From following their tried-and-true party plan, with plan being the key word here and in the aforementioned title, all the details from the very beginning stages and the logistics can be organized and anticipated so that your party can go smoothly and with the least amount of stress.  There are four creative-themed party blueprints that are laid out in detail in the book: Wine Country Crush, A Night in Venice, Chocolate Soiree, and What a Girl Wants.  These are popular themes that the prospective partygiver can follow and appropriately personalize to throw a party that will be remembered and cherished.  This book is especially timely, as home-based entertainment is the most economically-feasible for many of us.  A wonderful and memorable party can be had regardless of the size of the budget.  And as emphasized throughout the book, home is really where the heart is.

“Plan to Party”  by Elizabeth Mascali and Dawn Sandomeno is a book all home entertainers must have in their libraries. This go-to-book is not only visually inspiring but makes for a great read with easy to follow instructions and inspirations to go it alone. Great for planning dinner parties, cocktail and parties and more. Also fantastic for last minute ideas on impromptu entertaining. Even the hostess with the mostess can learn from this book. From just the right temperature to serve wines to perfect party favors. This book will leave you feeling like you can pull anything off and actually get to enjoy the party and your guests at the same time…Shocking. With easy recipes for food and cocktails there should be no stopping you. So grab a copy for yourself and for your friends (only if you are willing to share your new found secret of party success) and get those guest lists going.

Sometimes, just the THOUGHT of hosting a party can be so intimidating, I never get past the point of thinking, "gee, I'd like to throw a party..."  And the times when I actually do get over my fear and send out invitations, I invariably find myself scrambling around at the last minute, cooking and baking in a frenzy, enlisting good friends to help me clean and decorate, etc.  I wind up beginning the party as a sweaty, frizzy-haired, stressed out mess instead of the calm, gracious hostess I envision myself as.  Well, luckily, Elizabeth Mascali and Dawn Sandomeno have come out with a fantastic book, Plan to Party that minimizes stress and maximizes fun for even the least experienced hosts/hostesses.  Full of handy tips and recipes, the book also lays out four specific party plans that readers can follow, adapt, or simply use as a guide to organizing their own parties!  The plans they present are specific, easy to follow, and easy to execute.  There are also plenty of pictures, which serve as visual guides and help to eliminate much of the guesswork as far as how things should look. The authors present their ideas in a straightforward, yet engaging manner, and their love of the subject matter clearly shines through!  The two also have a fabulous blog, partybluprintsblog.com, which has even more party plans, recipes, pictures, and helpful tips!  I'm kissing my days of party stress goodbye, and keeping Plan to Party close at hand as the holiday season approaches - time to start planning that Christmas cocktail party!

I have always gone to parties and wondered how the host can pull it off.  I've never been one to know how to plan that "perfect" party.  I've always just had small get togethers that I wouldn't have to worry too much about.  Now that I have the
Plan to Party book, that perfect party is within my reach.  I love how each of the party ideas are broken down by sections.  I've already started to plan for the Chocolate Soiree.  I'll have a 2 week break from work around Christmas and New Year and think this would be the perfect time for having a get together.  I love how there is a rating sheet to go along with the chocolate.  A lot of the ideas from any of the parties can be used for just about any type of party you want.  I can't wait until I can throw my own perfect party!

So I just received my copy of Plan to Party and it is one of the best party planning books I have ever read.  If you're like me and love to host people at your house for parties then this is the right book for you. It really makes you want to start the party ASAP. This book is beautiful - the photography is amazing. I really have to say this book is such a great book to give as a gift. I can't get enough of the information! The book is full of ideas and are so easy to do. It really makes you feel like you are a professional. This book is great for everyone who wants to host a small party or a big party. So if you're looking for fun ideas and to have a great guide then this is a perfect book for they "party planner" in you.
