Sibu Sea Buckthorn Body Cream Highly Recommended by the Beautiful People of Whom You Know

Sibu Beauty, a global leader of sea buckthorn berry based nutritional and personal care products, today announced the addition of Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Eye Cream, Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil and Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Body Cream as complements to its existing portfolio of award-winning, Omega-and-antioxidant-rich natural products.

Sibu Beauty’s entire line of natural sea buckthorn-based products revitalize, renew and replenish  both the face and body from the inside-out and outside-in. The powerful sea buckthorn berry is the nutrient-rich main ingredient found in every Sibu Beauty product. Important health benefits are revealed through the unparalleled amount of Omega-3, 6 and 9 derived from the berry.

In addition, sea buckthorn berries are a rich source of the elusive fatty acid, Omega 7, a naturally occurring component that keeps free radicals at bay and proves vital to the production of collagen. Numerous scientific studies have concluded that sea buckthorn demonstrates the ability to improve hair, nail and skin tone/texture, digestive wellness and promotes healthy aging.   Usually at Whom You Know when we think of Berry we are thinking of Berry Brown in Rock Your Body, but our berry vocabulary is increasing with our new friends at Sibu!

The beautiful people of Whom You Know say:

Every year, as we transition into cooler weather, my skin turns into a dry, cracked, flaky mess.  This year, though, I feel well-equipped to protect my skin against the elements, thanks to Sibu Beauty's Sea Buckthorn Body Cream.  Formulated with shea butter, meadowfoam oil and (you guessed it!) sea buckthorn, this moisturizer is designed to naturally protect the skin from everyday exposure to the elements.  Now, just what is sea buckthorn?  That was the question running through my head when I first read the name of the product.  In my mind, I imagined some seaweed-like plant yanked from the bottom of the ocean. It turns out, though, that that notion couldn't be further from the truth!  Sea buckthorn is a actually a berry that thrives in the high altitudes and harsh weather conditions in the Tibetan Himalayas.  It's able to do so because it is fortified with all kinds of protective nutrients, including Omega 2,6,7 & 9, carotenoids, flavonoids, antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins.  Aha - the light bulb goes off!  If this little berry is loaded with all of these wonderful nutrients that help protect IT from the elements, surely it would be a great thing to put on my skin, in hopes that it will get the job done there, as well!  And sure enough, the Sibu team has managed to create a truly excellent body cream, featuring the sea buckthorn extract in a starring role.  The box boasts that the body cream "instantly hydrates, softens and rejuvenates skin" and it truly does!  After just one use, my skin felt softer to the touch, and some small chapped areas on my hands were smoothed and calmed.  In clinical studies, sea buckthorn has also been shown to protect against sun damage and improve symptoms of eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, burns and wounds - pretty remarkable!  And in addition to the terrific ingredients already mentioned, this cream also contains essential oil of orange and lemon, olive oil, and aloe, all of which do a terrific job of further softening and calming the skin.  And, thanks to the orange and lemon essential oils, the cream has a very delicate citrus scent, which is quite refreshing!  As an added bonus, the body cream is formulated with 100% natural ingredients, and the certified pure sea buckthorn is sourced through fair trade agreements with local harvesters in Tibet!  An all-around winner, in my book!  And if my soft, touchable skin after the first few uses are any indication, it's going to be a winter of great skin for me, at long last!

When I first applied the body cream, I thought it had an interesting, but not overpowering, aroma.  It was an aroma that reminded me of citrus.  When applied, it leaves a light-to-medium weight moisturizing layer. It dries fast enough that if you put it on when you get out of the shower, enough will be absorbed into your skin so it doesn't cling to your clothes!  My legs tend to become extremely dry after shaving.  This lotion, when applied right after I get out of the shower, is very helpful in making my legs look less cracked and dried out.  Sibu recommends their body cream as an after-sun lotion, and I agree given how quickly the lotion absorbs into the skin combined with how well it moisturizes. And an added effect...it may even help your skin repair a little of that UV damage.  I also enjoy the fact that it doesn't absorb too fast into your skin.  I have only found a few lotions that I can actually say I still feel as if my skin still feels moisturized 5 minutes after applying.  I can add this one to my list.  The first day I applied some before going to work, I had co-workers ask what new perfume was I wearing because they liked the aroma of the cream.  I told them what I was wearing and they didn't believe me at first.  When I took out the lotion from my bag, they still didn't believe me.  I let them try a little and they loved it as well.  They all wrote down the name so they could look into the product further.  This would make a perfect gift for that hard to shop for woman in your life.  I highly recommend this lotion.  I would continue to by this lotion for myself as well.

One of the requirements that I have for a body cream is that it needs to be rich enough to really moisturize my dry skin but it can't leave a heavy film behind that feels oily and worse, stains my clothes.  Sibu's Sea Buckthorn Body Cream seems to get it just right where this requirement of mine is concerned.  The texture is rich, but not too much so, and it spreads easily and absorbs into my skin quickly.  My skin feels sufficiently hydrated after application and there's no oily film left behind, as it's all absorbed into my skin.  I think the texture of this cream is great for year-round use because of that too.  The addition of shea butter is a plus for me, as this ingredient really works for my skin.  The scent of the sea buckthorn berry is citrusy, but just enough so, and it's slighly invigorating, which I like alot.  This is a cream that will be a go-to for me throughout this fall and winter, and most likely for all the seasons of the year.

Unlike other moisturizing creams that I have found effective, this body cream is not so thick that it's a nuisance to put on. This cream is thick without being pasty. The creamy formula is silky smooth and glides over my skin like my favorite nighty. It's got just the right consistency so that it's not a chore to use. Best part is that it works. I have (had!) super dry skin on my shins and after just a few days, it's smoother and softer than it's ever been. The Sea Buckthorn Body Cream has a very pleasing light scent, too. It's not so aromatic that it's become my signature scent, but rather complements whatever other scent I decide to spray or dab on.
