Our panel put these to the test, and their feet say:
Any product that can protect and preserve the incredible art collection of shoes that I own is something worth worshiping. At $500 to $1000 a pair don’t you think you need to invest in keeping them ship shape? The latest and greatest product on the market is Chu Shu’s Silver Linings. These darling inserts for designed for any style or shape shoe and keep the insides pristine. They fight odor, discoloration and wear & tear all at once. And the best part is no one will notice a thing. I was skeptical on fit as some of my shoes are relatively snug however these really are silver linings. They felt great and did not affect the fit one bit. After you have used them up they slide right out without leaving any rubbery residue and into the garbage they go. Three pairs come in a pack however I recommend them selling bulk buys at 10 or so as I would like to line a greater amount of my shoes all at once. C’mon who doesn’t love a silver lining?
What a genius idea these Silver Linings are! I have several pairs of shoes that I don't wear socks with during the summer and fall and when I take them off, my feet feel sweaty, and they always smell. The Chu Shu Silver Lining was the perfect addition to my shoes. They were not bulky like other liners or insoles are. After a while, I completely forgot I had them on! When I went to take my shoes off at the end of the day, my feet felt less sweaty. Because the linings have absorbed some of that moisture, my feet didn't smell like they used to. I have definitely recommended these Silver Linings to friends and family. They would also make an awesome stocking stuffer.
This product makes so much sense! I am more of a "flats" girl, not much on the pumps and I love to wear my flats sans socks. What I don't love is the "slippage factor". It's inevitable...when wearing shoes without socks, everything starts out just fine, but by the end of the day you find yourself wondering what made you think this was a good idea! The Chu Shu Silver Linings will make your naked tootsies happy all the live long day! The Silver Linings are so thin, you barely notice they are even there. They are soft, comfortable and will keep your feet nice and dry! What's really great is that they fit very easily into any shoe (at least any shoe I tried!), no trimming required! Thanks to Chu Shu Silver Linings, I can continue to wear my flats without socks and can be footloose and fancy free while doing so!
I love shoes as much as the next woman, if not more so, as attested to by the extensive shoe collection I own, not to mention all the extras (polish, protective sprays, taps, insoles, outsoles, etc.) that I've purchased in order to keep my shoes looking new and feeling as comfortable as possible. Through the years, I've noticed that one of the more persistent problems I have is in being able to maintain the insides of my shoes as well as I've been able to maintain the outsides of my shoes. Whether with socks, or especially with shoes that are meant to be worn sans socks (i.e. dress pumps, ballet shoes or any closed toe shoes), the perspiration and lack of air circulation in my shoes inevitably cause the inner sole and lining of my shoes to deteriorate, discolor and develop an unpleasant odor. Leather and most vinyls, after all, are porous materials and wll succumb to the damage caused by extreme moisture, heat and friction. Drugstore insoles are one way to protect the insides of shoes, but oftentimes they're bulky, making your shoes feel literally a half size smaller, not to mention there's the extra task of trimming to make them fit in your shoes. I usually wind up tearing those insoles out after a short period of wear and just accept that there's not much I can do for the insides of my shoes. That's until this shoe savior in the form of Silver Linings, by Chu Shu, came into my life. These half-shoe length liners are super thin, they don't change the fit of my shoes whatsover and they're made of this microdenier fabric that wicks away moisture from my feet. The genius part about these liners is they're infused with silver, which is proven to inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold, fungus, and the resulting odor. I can personally attest that after a long day of wearing my pumps, lined with Silver Linings, my feet stayed pleasantly dry and odor-free! These very pumps, when worn bare and without insoles, normally causes a fair amount of perspiration throughout the day, so I was pleased as can be that Silver Linings put an end to the pesky perspiration. An added benefit with Silver Linings is it keeps my feet from sliding forward as they normally would with any high heel shoes, so it's added comfort that's very welcome. Silver Linings are a great find and a wise investment in extending the life of your shoes. At the price of $15.99 for a 3-pair pack, you'll do well to stack up on these. Your feet, and your shoes, will thank you.
Created out of necessity by Jennifer Chu, Silver Linings shoe liners are the perfect accessory for women who wear shoes sans socks. As we all know, the insides of shoes can get pretty darn grimy when you're running sockless around the city. In the summer, especially, with sandals and open-toe shoes abounding, the buildup of moisture, dirt, and odor can cause a gal to steer clear of her favorite heels, which is not an ideal solution to the problem. Thank heavens, then, for Ms. Chu's invention! These ultra-thin shoe liners are made of soft, moisture-wicking material to help keep feet (and shoes dry). They're also infused with silver, which helps to prevent the growth of odor-causing bacteria, and the non-adhesive, anti-slip backing keeps them secured in place without leaving a gummy residue. I tried out a pair in my favorite pumps for a recent 3-hour performance, and was amazed at how clean and dry my feet (and my shoes stayed)! Thank you, Ms. Chu, for such a fantastic, easy-to-use solution to a problem faced by millions of women - I know that I, for one, will be stocking up on Silver Linings for use in all of my favorite shoes!
