The popularity of the Rose has really risen this past year. Seems as everyone has or introduced a Sparkling Rose into their mix of products. Or at least they started marketing it more. I have started to enjoy the Rose so much that I needed to dedicate a new area in my wine cellar for it. So I was very intrigued to try Amorosa Bella Wine’s Sparkling Brut Rose. First of all the bottle is one of the sexiest looking bottles on the market. Put that baby on ice and you are sure to create the mood for a romantic evening. I love that they let the beautiful rose color really dictate the look of the product. Team that with a bright pink label and black top and you have a winner. Now let’s get to the real debate which is how does it taste. With Christmas and New Year’s coming up, the need for the perfect champagne/Sparkling wine is at its peak. However, Champagne/Sparkling wine is my go to all year. The Amorosa Sparkling Brut Rose was delicious! The mix of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir was a perfect pairing to make my senses tingle. This Sparkling can certainly hold its own against many of the Rose Champagnes from France. With a price range in the low $30 this offering is a good value and slightly less than some of the entry level champagnes. What I also love is the fact that Amorosa has created a lifestyle brand around its wines and bruts. Tonight we popped the cork on our first Amorosa Bella Wine. We had the pleasure of starting off with their gorgeous Sparkling Brut Rose. What a treat! We are fans of a drier sparkling wine and tend to avoid anything pink, out of fear that it will be too sweet. But the Amorosa Rose was a delicious surprise. Its hint of fruity sweetness was quite understated. First and foremost, this is a nice, dry, brut bubbly. Technically, true wine judging ought to include spitting out the sample, but we could not bring ourselves to do it. The wine was just too good to waste. We started with a simple tasting of this rose with a few slices of Parmesan. The dry cheese brought out the fruit of the wine, nicely. It also paired well with our appetizer course of salmon bruschetta. The faint sweetness offset the savory dish, and the rose was bold enough to hold its own against such a strong flavor. We also saved some to try with dessert. Normally, anything pink would be its own dessert in our household. But this rose does not overpower with its sugar content. In fact, it is quite versatile. While its sweet side tends to bring out the full flavor of savory dishes, it is dry enough to pair with sweets. We paired it with fresh strawberries and dark chocolate squares, and the strawberry/cherry undertones of the rose soared. The Amorosa Bella Sparkling Rose is a great choice for the holidays!
Amorosa Bella Sparkling Brut Rose is such an amazing wine. Open a bottle and fill up a glass. This wine won't let you down in the least. The bubbles take over your senses. It's a nice perky wine that is bold and can stand on its own. You can smell the strawberries, raspberries, cherry. The taste isn't overly sweet. Keep that in mind. The beautiful pink/red color invites you in. The bubbles are perfect and bring a taste explosion into your mouth like no other wine I have ever had. I served this wine to a friend of my that stopped by for a quick hello. She just couldn't get enough. I matched it with some cheese - and VOILA! We had our own mini cocktail hour with amazing wine and amazing cheese. Before she left she wrote down the name of the wine and said it was a must for the holiday season. I personally prefer the sparkling wines. I feel like they give a different kick to the standard wine. It also makes the drink a bit more fun.
