Champagne Wishes: Whom You Know Highly Recommends Moet Imperial! It is Perfect for the Holiday Season! Whom You Know is Pleased to Kick Off Our Coverage of Moet & Chandon

MOËT IMPERIAL. THE LIVING LEGEND

Since 1743, Moët & Chandon has been in the Champagne industry and in every sip of the Moët Impérial, that experience and commitment to excellence is reflected.  It's exactly 100 years older than Miss Porter's!

Whom You Know is pleased to kick off our coverage of Moët & Chandon!  The flagship of Moët & Chandon, Moët Impérial is the most accomplished and universal expression of its style. It reflects the diversity and complementarities of the three champagne grapes and the richness of the region’s best vineyards.  At Whom You Know, there are very few products that we enjoy reviewing more than champagne, and the Moët Impérial we absolutely loved.  And of course, we particularly loved the peach aromas that enveloped us as we raised our flutes.  The pure versatility of this champagne exudes excellence as we cannot think of anything it would not be a perfect companion to.  We reviewed a nonvintage variety and we imagine the vintage is just as good, if not better.

Moët Impérial distinguishes itself by an exotic fruitiness, a generous palate and a confident maturity, that continually seduce and delight.  Moët Impérial is an extremely accomplished assemblage of the most diverse selection of crus in Champagne, with a predominance of Pinot Noir (45% to 50%), for intensity and structure, elegantly complemented with Pinot Meunier (35% to 40%) and with Chardonnay (10% to 20%) for freshness.  The bubbles will dance in your mouth bringing you holiday cheer perfect for this time of year!

The use of 30% of carefully selected reserve wines completes the assemblage and enhances its harmony, complexity and consistency.  The color is an elegant golden straw yellow with amber highlights.

Its aromas reveal an exotic fruitiness – yellow peach, plum, pineapple and honey –with floral nuances (lime blossom) and elegant blond notes (brioche and fresh nuts).  The palate is seductive and generous, combining intensity with roundness, fullness with suppleness, followed by a lively crisp finish to reveal the magical balance of champagne.

Moët Impérial can be served as a prelude to dinner and all the way through to dessert. It is perfect with sushi and dumplings, shellfish and fish in light sauces, poached, roasted, or lightly sauced white meats, and fresh fruit salads that are not too sweet.

Why not drink a Legend?  Whom You Know highly recommends Moët Impérial by Moët & Chandon!
