NEW APP COMBINES WEATHER AND STYLE IN DAILY HAIRCAST Effects of precipitation and wind included in instant, local beauty tips

Women have a new ally in the struggle against bad hair days. The Daily Haircast, an application available for download for the iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry, launches today with quick hairstyling suggestions based on live weather conditions and user-specific input. The application is sponsored by Clairol Perfect 10 and is available to users for free.

Have wavy hair and are visiting New York on a sunny, fall day? No problem. The Daily Haircast analyzes the effect today’s weather will have on your hair type, delivering an instant fix. Humidity index, precipitation percentages and wind speeds are calculated by ZIP code to provide hyper-local and actionable advice for women as they move through their day.

The Daily Haircast was created as a feature of Brilliant Color and Beauty Today, a syndicated beauty and style program presented by Studio One Networks.

“The best hair care works every day, despite weather or location,” said Clairol’s Taylor Montgomery. “For the first time, we’ve combined personal and professional expertise with geo-location to help on-the-go women look their best all the time – rain or shine.”
“We hope that the Daily Haircast will have a liberating effect,” Andrew Susman, CEO of Studio One Networks said at the launch. “It takes what’s best about mobile and local technology and returns value to users.”

The Daily Haircast tool is also available at m.dailyhaircast.com, and www.brilliantcolorandbeautytoday.com.
