See Manhattan On Your Feet: Whom You Know Highly Recommends Silvia by Pas de Rouge!! Amo Le Scarpe Italiane!!!!

Recently Peachy Deegan was at her favorite Italian restaurant, of course Serafina, where she saw Movers and Shakers Vittorio Assaf and Fabio Granato and she was so excited to tell them about her newest Italian obsession which rivals their lobster spaghetti (except you don't eat it): Pas de Rouge.  You have been hearing Peachy exclaim "Amo Le Scarpe Italiane!" ever since the fabulous Italian shoe events a couple of weeks ago, and we are pleased to present the very first Italian shoe for review since.

We are always looking beyond the surface, which we have been told distinguishes us from other publications, so of course Peachy with her ten million and one questions about everything had to know where the name came from.  Of course Pas de Rouge is french for no red.  The meaning behind this is that it is a play off the linings that do not bleed on to the foot due to its fantastic quality.

The word fantastic does not do justice to the level of quality employed in the overall engineering of this shoe.  It is light.  It is functional.  It is a shoe you can walk in like a sneaker in terms of comfort.  It is comprised of premium suede.  AND, IT IS GORGEOUS.

Of course in a perfect world we would only wear gorgeous shoes, and also Peachy Deegan would wake up looking gorgeous too (this does happen on some days!) however, the reality is that the world is not perfect and most shoes that are gorgeous kill your feet, leaving you crippled with pain and blisters.  So sometimes we wear comfortable shoes that are not as gorgeous as Pas de Rouge, but those days have met with a startling halt.  Smart AND Beautiful, Silvia by Pas de Rouge, we love you.  So, we wore you to Serafina!  We would have fed you lobster spaghetti but did not want you to get dirty.  The very cool strappy geometric design had us at hello, and the open toe is fun but definitely recommended for inside only in Manhattan this time of year.

This new label debuted in Italy beginning Spring 2007 and is owned and produced by the label “Gritti”, a well-established Italian footwear brand that owns and operates their factory in the highly respected Brenta shoe district of Italy.  The entire collection is handcrafted from start to finish by the finest Italian shoemakers offering a true 100% Made In Italy product.

Pas de rouge:  A brand of women’s luxury footwear was introduced in the United States, in the Spring of 2008, experiencing successful sales results right out of the box.  The best independent retailers and quality conscious consumers are embracing fresh new styles from Pas de rouge that offer feminine, sophisticated simplicity.  100% Made In Italy; luxury, craftsmanship, and style are what make wearing a pair of Pas de rouge special and unique.

With the unique craftsmanship of “sacchetto” construction throughout the majority of the
Pas de rouge collection, women can benefit from the lightness, flexibility, and ease of wearing these exquisite shoes.  The sales staff at Harry’s Shoes in New York City love to sell Pas de rouge because “the fit and quality are exceptional…once you get the shoes on the customer’s foot, they’re sold!”  The styling goes from fashion to dress to classic to fun with product that women love to wear.

“Pas de rouge fit into every woman’s lifestyle with a versatile, casual elegance that women can feel good wearing.  The styles are chic comfort that can be worn with a business suit or casual and sophisticated with jeans”, said Marcia Arranaga, lead buyer and co-owner of Riviera Footwear in Southern California, one of the first customers to receive Pas de rouge.   Bob Fields, co-owner of Riviera Footwear adds, “In today’s fashion climate, Pas de rouge is ahead of the competition, the immediate acceptance by the consumer, the quality and fit of the shoes has been very well received.  When we sell one of these shoes, we’re not just making a sale; we’re building a Pas de rouge customer”.   Pas de rouge is currently in Riviera’s Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Redondo Beach, and La Jolla locations.  Shirise in Glencoe, IL has experienced tremendous success with Pas de rouge immediately after receiving their first collection in Spring 2009.
Pas de rouge retail price ranges from $350 - $450, with boots retailing up to $700.  This luxury label is anticipating a positive growth for the most discriminating of high-end retailers in the United States.

Pas de rouge is solely and exclusively distributed in the United States & Canada by Team Roselli Corporation based in New York and established by Giovanni Roselli.  Their focus and commitment is to distribute high quality, unique, fresh product to the American market.
